Sound Choice already did "Send Me An Angel" - Real Life. It was on SC 8568 which is out of print. It is still available on the Custom CDG site.
A few more "forgotten" 80's & 90's:
Night Ranger - "Sentimental Street" David & David - "Welcome To The Boomtown" Local H - "Bound For The Floor"
I'll second "Go Insane" - Lindsey Buckingham - can't believe this one has NEVER been done before.

Make It Real was released on Spot 8378. I have both - the other on couple older (now defunct) brands before SC. But neither have ever been done to my knowledge.

Thanks Lonman. I just emailed SC a suggestion to link the search engine on their main page into their custom site so at least the searcher can see that the song can be purchased as a custom...and I will quit making these mistakes! Posts: 683 | From: seattle,wa,usa | Registered: Oct 2003

A lot of people didn't realize that "Make It Real" was co-written by a then unknown R. Kelly. I think it's a verynice song. I would like to see the british version of The Jets in Five Starr get considered.

World Wyde, thanks for that interesting bit of information. Every once in awhile, you find out a song is written by someone you wouldn't have suspected. The other night I was outside getting some exercise at the local park (Seward Park), and I could hear a band across the lake playing Chaka Khan's Tell Me Something Good. When I got home and researched it on the internet, I was surprised to find out that Stevie Wonder had written it.

The why not are these songs on karaoke question?
Local H - Bound For The Floor (Isn't there another song by these guys on karaoke, not as big?) Tony Carey - A Fine, Fine Day David + David - Welcome To The Boomtown
These songs were all popular and Welcome received critical acclaim as well.
And I have to add Tim Curry - I Do The Rock

Tender Years has been done by other publishers.
with all due respect.. I don't care about other publishers. If I did I wouldn't have requested SC do it. This IS a SC forum.

There have been some GREAT suggestions in this thread! I guess I will add my 2 cents. These are all fun songs, some may be a little harder to sing than others but never the less great songs. If you don't remember some of these, just go to youtube and look for the videos. Most of them are there but some never had videos to begin with. Enjoy!
Warrant - Blind Faith Bon Jovi - Edge of a Broken Heart Loverboy - Heaven in Your Eyes Def Leppard - Love and Affection Enuff Z Nuff - Fly High Michelle Nelson - More Than Ever Extreme - Kid Ego Trixter - Surrender Motley Crue - She Goes Down Poison - Back to the Rocking Horse Steelheart - Everybody Loves Eileen Britny Fox - Girlschool Firehouse - Home is Where the Heart is Slaughter - Mad About You Vince Neil - Can't Change Me
I will second these already suggested: Loverboy - Notorious (other manu version SUCKS) Night Ranger - Four In The Morning Night Ranger - "Sentimental Street" Last Time In Paris - Queensryche Real Life - Send me an angel
Loverboy - Heaven in your eyes in one of my all time faves and my buddy knightshow and I h been trying to get this song released for YEARS... A Buddy of mine who works for an unnamed overseas karaoke made this avalaible finally a couple months ago sadly the music isnt the greatest but the song is availble(midi sound)
Would Love SC to make a version of this song though

I think is was "The Kids Are Right". I think that was the title, anyway. From their second album. But we need a lot more Local H. "Eddie Vedder" and "High Fiving MF" come immediately to mind...

"Imperial Hotel"-Stevie Nicks (heard this on a classic rock radio program today; I know that a lot of her songs are available already and I've sung several of them; this one would be fun)

I really don't think we will see new tracks from SC.. ever... once again they are just repackaging the old tracks that every KJ already has... they fail to realize that there are less and less people becoming karaoke hosts and its not as popular as it once was in the home. The new pre-ripped sets wont sell. if they sell 10 sets by the end of the year i'd be suprised.

@ DJMM: In a word: pfffft on them. I know karaoke isn't as popular as it used to be--but c'mon, I've only been doing it for about 5 years, so relatively speaking, I'm a rookie. (and I'm not a kj; I couldn't deal w/all those drunk idiots--I'm just someone who loves to sing)

Yeah karaoke ain't as popular as it used to be in my hometown either. Some weekends it is just plain dead and the bar closes early because of lack of customers singing, drinking or even turning up.

Wow, karaoke is gaining strength here (at least in my shows) it seems. I already know 3 hosts i've turned on to the the new digital sets - whether they get them or not is another story.
