I will second "21 Guns" and also put in a request for "Know Your Enemy."

last night that song was on the radio in the truck on the way home. Tim said if I get that song he's gonna sing it. So I guess I'm gonna have to request it. Posts: 170 | From: Wisconsin | Registered: Oct 2007

At least now we "Know (Our) Enemy". Someone really ought to explain to the objectors that given differences in international copyright law the karaoke genie is already out of the bottle so they may as well collect the licensing fees in the US.

Shinedown - Sound of Madness Slipknot - Psychosocial, or Dead Memories if license obtainable.
I would still love Korn - Evolution, Hold On, but I also know they're soon to be releasing a new album. No longer signed to virgin, and going back to their original sound =) can't wait!

"Psychosocial" by Slipknot has just been mixed and mastered. We don't have a release date yet, but it should be out soon.
Let me tell you that it was not easy. I'm not really a fan of Slipknot and the like, but for the most part those guys can play...
Anyway, we had a good time with that one. We got a little punchy and also came up with a nice, folksy, falsetto harmony version of it. Demonic screaming still included, of course. Unfortunately that one's for our ears only. Just wanted to let you guys know that we try to have a good time, if nothing else.
Thanks, John

I agree with Showtime, I mean every time someone wants to do I'm On A Boat (read: every night) I have to become T-Pain for them
which is fun when it's a regular, but it's not always a regular also the bar owner gets mad when I sing too much lol. not my fault everyone wants my help!

I definitely agree with the statements that some of the Metallica songs from Death Magnetic should be on Sound Choice (most notably "All Nightmare Long"). Here's a few other songs that I didn't notice anyone else talk about in this thread that I think should be added to Sound Choice's catalog...
Nine Inch Nails - "Discipline" Scars On Broadway - "They Say" Buckcherry - "Too Drunk..." Guns N' Roses - "Chinese Democracy"

If G'n'R started licensing again for karaoke, "Chinese Democracy" would be a good one to have.

I know Guns N' Roses are still licensing, at least for Rock Band, which has a karaoke element in that game. With that form of licensing in mind, I hope some thought gets put into giving some Chinese Democracy songs karaoke licensing. Same idea goes with Metallica and their decision to put their Death Magnetic album onto Guitar Hero. I believe "They Say" from Scars On Broadway also has some licensing with those two games.

I want "The End of the Line" off of Metallica's Death Magnetic album. The song seriously rocks!

That song's already been let into the karaoke domain by the Chartbuster company, but then again Sound Choice should do this song some justice. I don't have a preference on which company is the best at manufacturing karaoke tracks, because from my experiences, every karaoke company has its ups and downs. It all really depends more on what the karaoke company does to the song than how that company presents their lyrical graphics.

Also the month of July 2009 is almost over. So what is Sound Choice gonna release for August? A spotlight disc of metal and/or hard rock hits would be nice. I've been somewhat bored with the small amounts of hit manufacturing that went on with the monthly PowerPicks 3500 series from last April to this July. Somebody in the Sound Choice staff should just spill the beans on what's coming out this August, because I see nothing under the Future Releases section of the main site right now.

it's been said on here time and time again, so forgive the bluntness, but please don't mention other karaoke manufactuers on SC's site. Just say it's available on other manus.

It's kind of a dumb rule to establish really. With what I've seen around other parts of the forum, people have said other manufacturing names on this board in the past without getting banned. I say people should talk about other karaoke manufacturers all they want here, as long as they're not hating on Sound Choice. That's my point with these companies. While Sound Choice is good, I believe that overall, every company has an equal quality to them.

I haven't seen a whole lot of other manus being named in the context of where one can get songs that SC doesn't have. Other manus are named due to legal aspects or other things - not the same as telling people where to get songs from other manus that SC can't/hasn't produced ON Sound Choice's own board.

Okay. I've decided that from now on, if I ever feel the need to say the name of a manufacturer other than Sound Choice in this forum, I'll stick to using only the manufacturer's initials. For example, the first sentence of that opinion I had on "Burn It To Ground" from Nickelback should've been printed as this...
"That song's already been let into the karaoke domain by CB, but then again Sound Choice should do this song some justice."

Yeah no one is smart enough to decipher that! Why mention other manus at all? People who are looking are smart enough to find them. We don't go into your work (WalMart) & yell out HEY K-Mart has these itens you can't get here.

When it comes to the people asking kingtony's question, we're not pushing it, we just notice that Sound Choice has not thoroughly updated its site about the August release(s).
