I'd definately vote for "rappin' Rodney", the Ooopa Loompa song" and "marvolous"!

What about Denis Leary's "Life's gonna suck" or Nimoys "Highly Illogical"?

I'm with ya on "Rappin' Rodney", "You Look Mahvelous", "Rubber Duckie", "Basketball Jones", "Take Off" (even though I can't sing Geddy Lee to save my a--!), and "Highly Illogical".

Add "Take Your Love and Shove It" (Joe Pesci), "I Love Rock & Roll" (Joe Piscopo), "Honeymooners' Rap" (Joe Piscopo & Eddie Murphy), "Boogie in Your Butt" (Eddie Murphy), and some Shatner songs like "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" or "Rocket Man".

Best,

Mark

This one probably fits here with Silly Sing-along songs.... "The Happy Happy Birthday Song" by the Arrogant Worms.

Heck, if you can put THAT Happy Birthday song out, let's add Weird Al's version!
Hmm...any other Birthday songs in that vein?

Why not the Birthday song that Jack Black did on SNL a few years ago? Can't remember what he called it, but had a perfect Tenacious D twist to it.

Anyone like Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine? His lounge act cover versions of popular songs are hilarious. You may have seen them on Carson Daly's show a year or so ago. I think they do the great lounge version of Down With The Sickness in Dawn Of The Dead as well.

Willy... YES! There's another Richard Cheese fan here! Woohoo!

There are a lot of tracks off of his newest CD that I think would go over very well, as I've mentioned in other threads: His mambo style 'Sunday, Bloody Sunday' and a drunken swan-song version of 'Somebody Told Me', to name a few.

ANY of his tracks would be fantastic on a Silly Sing-a-long disc!

Green Grass Grows (Around and Around) - The Mighty Blue Kings

It's a very upbeat blues version of that song the purple dinosaur likes to sing.

I heard a tune on talk radio called "Bounce Your Boobies". I don't know the artist but I thought it was hilarious.

Bounce Your Boobies is by Rusty Warren. I remember hearing it on Dr. Demento.

I'll second Lunch Lady Land, and how about some more Tom Lehrer. Most anything would do, although I'm thinking Who's Next is still topical.

Who's Next was a terrific song, and still very topical. I always wanted the Vatican Rag to be available as well.

I'd like to second Road to Rhode Island from Family Guy. Just caught the episode again and think it would make a great karaoke duet!

Maybe some of the Simpson tunes would be good as well, perhaps "See My Vest"?

If William Shanter is put on a silly sing along disc, I'd rather have songs from his latest cd - Has Been; either the title track or his cover of Pulp's "Common People" featuring Joe Jackson; or his duet with Henry Rollins "I Can't Get Behind That".

Also, if only for a bonus track - can we get Little Feat's "Don't Bogart That Joint"? Can we get it on any disc?

I love these suggestions!

Votes for:
Any Richard Cheese (but I have stated that before)
Shatner doing Pulp's "Common People"

"I'm my own grandpa" is out on Sound Choice already.

I think you're mistaken... I did a search (both by Ray Stevens and Title) here, and SC did not have that song listed. That song is on ... other labels ... (as far as I know).

And it appears I had the title incorrect.

I love singing silly songs and parodies so I don't know how I missed that disk but Thanks!!!
