Hey, if there's every room for a bonus cut on a pop hits disc, could you throw on the radio version of Hey Mama by Black Eyed Peas please? The album version is confusing my patrons, but ah well, they're drunk and confused anyways. Also looking forward to... Get Out--Jojo Take Me Out-Franz Ferdinand Don't Say Nothin-The Roots and could you find room for Slipknot's "Duality" somewhere? Thanks Posts: 248 | From: chicago,iL,u.S.A. | Registered: Nov 2002

BC stated this on a post I did on ask SC about why the version seemed different. If you got to search and look for "Why does Hey Mama by Black Eyed Peas Seem Different" you can see the full thread.
You pretty much have it right - different version with a different ending than the album cut.
We did the version from their CD/album "Elephunk" (platinum, been on the album charts for 43 weeks - also has "Where Is The Love?"). The ending is fairly different, with the video/single version being a little longer (a little more skin time for the half-naked female singer - not something to complain about, you understand).
We picked this song back in January and recorded it in February. The video (and corresponding remix) didn't get out there until it was a single, and didn't receive much airplay until recently.
BTW: The song is also used in frequent ads for the NBA playoffs.

One of my regulars asked about Papa Roach's "Getting Away With Murder". I've never heard it, but he would sing it. Wondered if anyone would like it.

Sure, I have heard Papa Roach's Getting Away With Murder (the CD came out Tuesday) and would sing it. Bowling For Soup's 1985 would be cool too. Also wondering: Kittie's "Into The Darkness"; Taking Back Sunday's "The Photograph Is Proof [I Know You Know]"; Atreyu "Right Side Of The Bed"; Hazen Street "Fool The World" or "Trouble"; The Killers " Somebody Told Me" or "Mr. Brightside"; Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Black Tongue"; Breaking Benjamin "So Cold" or "Forget It'; and Saliva "Survival Of The Sickest" "Open Eyes" or "Rock & Roll Revolution". And how about Coheed And Cambria and "Favor House Atlantic" "Blood Red Summer" or "In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth 3"

Since you mentioned Taking Back Sunday, I'd like to request "Cute Without the E." That song would make a good duet, actually.
Two other requests: "Right Now" by SR-71 and "Death Blooms" by Mudvayne.
And there's a question I've been meaning to ask. This is a pretty good question, so hopefully BC will answer:
These three songs I requested are over a year old now. When "Right Now" was released, I believe it was pretty successful. But it never made it onto a Power Picks disc at the time; so, the question is, did we miss the boat? Is it a moot point to request pop/rock songs that are past their prime? Since the songs are no longer "hot," is there no chance of producing them?

I don't know where else to put this and I certainly don't need to start a Timberlake thread, but how come you guys never did "Rock Your Body" or "Senorita" by Justin. I'd like to try them out, but then again, I am plagued by morbid curiosity.

Clear Channel's KISS stations have Gavin Degraw's "I Don't Wanna Be" and Seether's "Broken" in pretty heavy rotation. Hopefully we'll have them soon on Sound Choice? Hmmm?
