BTW I really really really really want Tribute by Tenacious D. That's all I was trying to say Don't be so serious Love to y'all karaokemonkey
BTW my wife says she wants some Ani Difranco but that's probably not gonna make it on the next Headbangers Disc LOL
We need more Van Halen/Sammy Hagar songs on karaoke.
Like these songs:
VH:
It's About Time (New) Up For Breakfast (New) Learning To See (New) Summer Nights Good Enough Seventh Seal Mean Street Get Up Man On A Mission Spanked Runaround
& so much more VH, as well as these Sammy Hagar songs:

The Tori Amos version of Raining Blood isn't heavy, is it? In any case, I'd rather have the Slayer version. There's only one Slayer song on SC, and we could use a couple more:
Die By The Sword Angel Of Death South Of Heaven Mandatory Suicide
I totally agree with all those Judas Priest songs. Great picks!

Just having a little fun like karaokemonkey, and no Tori's version of Raining Blood is not heavy, but it is very dark. Also agree, more Slayer is needed, I would to see any of the songs you mentioned especially Mandatory Suicide. [BTW - Slayer was the opener for Priest, so they both got to play bigger sets than at the Ozzfest]

Rob and the boys did do all six songs that SC has on karaoke, plus the ones I listed above and Diamonds And Rust [the semi-acoustic version] The Sentinel and Heading Out To The Highway [which somehow I forgot to metion in my last post - which would make 8 songs, enough for a Star - wish upon wish]. not your fault m'man. You gave him more credit than anybody. You thought he'd have a sense of humor.
Incidently, I too mentioned the Untrue Fake Rocker at home. I said it to my son when he came to borrow a dvd.
all I got was a blank stare, a roll of the eyes and "Ohhhh-kay." Phfttt! He IS a U.F.R.
I said it to my stepsons. "If you guys don't step up and do more of these chores without me coming down on you, you're nothing but Untrue Fake Rockers!!!"
Same blank stare.
It's not working. I even tried it on my boss. That got me a trip to Personell... and they sat me down and explained their treatment and payment plans for mental illness... what's THAT all about?
Buncha Untrue Fake Rockers!

I know it might be a little early to mention Queensyrche....but... a bit of news...
QR will perform Operation: Mindcrime in its entirety during their upcoming tour...and after the tour will be releasing a sequel to that album later, and will be previewing a few songs from that album during the tour.
So I humbly request consideration for The Needle Lies.

What is that noise I hear? Is that the bottom of the barrel being scraped?
C'mon guys, *classics* there are still plenty to request and do.
Some agreement follows:
Shoot to Thrill - ACDC Kill the King, Gates of Babylon or Long Live Rock and Roll - Rainbow
(I like Kill the King, as the current political climate favors the message.)
Space Truckin' -Deep Purple Rock Rock Till you Drop - Def Leppard See You in Hell - Grim Reaper Wasted years - Iron Maiden Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin Creeping Effing Death for crying out loud - Metallica Aint No Nice Guy - Motorhead with Ozzy Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins
That's ten, I'm hard pressed to come up with five more without double-dipping bands or singers.

First, apologies to Tim D for this suggestion since the song is over 8 minutes long...but with the releases of both Seek & Destroy and You Can't Kill Rock And Roll on the last HB disc, I would like to see my favorite Rainbow song on karaoke:
Stargazer
Btw, it could also fit in on a Storytellers disc.

"Suite Sister Mary" (an abridged version) would be awesome for karaoke...maybe 7 or 8 minutes tops). Also, "The Needle Lies" is one of my all time QR faves as well!
Other HB XIV suggestions include:
Goldilox - King's X Cigarettes - King's X Dogman - King's X My God - Jethro Tull (heavy enough for HB!) Since I've Been Loving You - Led Zeppelin
Children Of The Grave - Black Sabbath (In tandem with "Children Of The Sea"....way cool, you betcha!)
Into The Void - Black Sabbath BLACK SABBATH - Black Sabbath Behind The Wall Of Sleep - Black Sabbath Can't Let You Go - Rainbow Fire Dance - Rainbow Tearing Down My Heart - Rainbow Bird Of Prey - Uriah Heep July Morning - Uriah Heep (Abridged Outro) American Burn - Bloodrock D.O.A. - Bloodrock Dancing Madly Backwards - Captain Beyond The Mule - Deep Purple (Abridged Solo) Cities On Flame With Rock & Roll - B.O.C. The Red And The Black - B.O.C. Hot Rails To Hell - B.O.C. Godzilla - B.O.C.
P.S. "Changes" by Sabbath, is indeed a great tune, however, I'm wondering whether it belongs on an HB disc when it may be better suited for and "Ozzy & Black Sabbath II" disc instead....just a thought...no harm nor foul intended! (BTW, "Changes" as well as "Fairies Wear Boots", "Wicked World", "The Wizard", and several additional Sabbath And Ozzy tunes are included on a disc that has been recently released by a competing label. I've got that disc and have been using it for karaoke performance purposes quite frequently of late. The quality is very good (although I know with absolute certainty that SC could and would do a better job regarding the production of the aforementioned selections if they ever would choose to pursue another Ozzy & Black Sabbath project in the future!).
A couple of the intros and solos are somewhat abbreviated, however they are not "cut-up" very much - nor murdered/annihilated in terms of overall musical content and performance accuracy. It is not a great disc, but it is very good at the very least. Mark and I have recently entertained discussion re: this new disk and I went out and obtained it right after that information exchange session. I know there are quite a number of Ozzy & Sabbath enthusiasts on Soundboard and that is why I've even mentioned the CDG in the first place, thus it is not my intention to push a product of an SC competitor, as SC is the very best and every karaoke enthusiast and afficionado alike understands this pronounced fact - that SC is a vastly superior company with a likewise superior product....Amen!
P.P.S. Let us remind ourselves to always remember, revere, honor, and respect the varied roots of almighty Heavy Metal! (Older, "classic HM" still stands-up valiantly and respectably in contemporary HM times!) Thank you one and all!

OMG, what an oversight! Please accept my apologies and SCRATCH my suggestion for "THE MULE" by Deep Purple, and REPLACE it with "FOOLS" by Deep Purple instead...I somehow managed to end-up getting them confused during my original post amid taxing the hell outta my poor, twisted l'il brain and sometimes faulty memory....perhaps a premature alzheimer's moment, I guess!
BTW, along with "Fools" (with abbreviated solo passage) by Deep Purple, please also consider the following for inclusion into HB Vol. XIV or a future HB Spotlight project:
MOUNTAIN:
Nantucket Sleighride (To Owen Coffin) The Great Train Robbery Travelin' In The Dark (To E.M.P.) Never In My Life You Better Believe It
P.S. Aside from the monster hit "Mississippi Queen", Leslie West & Mountain has so much more to offer the rock world than that one tremendous and unforgettable riff. If one sits down and listens to this music for more than a fleeting moment, then one will find the rockin' journey well worth time spent and one will receive a precious reward in the meantime. Just an opinion, but hey, check-it-out for yourself and perhaps you'll agree with the foregoing assessment.
In any event, Keep On Rockin' (Hard & Heavy) my most wonderful and cherished SCBB/HM/Headbanging mates!

Hawkmeister, "Godzilla" has been released on Spotlight #8850 (click here). You probably missed it because it's on a "Movie Madness" disc. I highly recommend this one; there's quite a few good rockin' tunes on there, including "Love Removal Machine" by The Cult, and a couple songs by Steel Dragon from the movie "Rock Star."
The production quality on "Godzilla" is top-notch as usual.
You can always count on me to support more Black Sabbath songs! I think "Snowblind" would be a pretty good choice, due to song length and popularity. I would love "Fairies Wear Boots" and "Hand Of Doom," but those songs have somewhat long instrumental breaks in them. "Electric Funeral" might be suitable.

Hey there Mark, how the hell ya doin' bro? Nice to hear from you once again!
Thanx 4 setting me straight re: "Godzilla" and the Steel Dragon tunes are way cool as well. I'll probably be purchasing that disc pretty soon...I appreciate the heads-up on this, buddy.
You mentioned "Snowblind" and I immediately recalled having heard that song blasting out of jukeboxes many times over the course of many years. Great tune!
I've had the opportunity to perform "Fairies Wear Boots" and a few others on that Brand X disc that we've discussed, and it always feels real "adrenalin-rush" good when I sing them. It would become truly optimal if SC would ever decide to do their "superior quality" version of many of those songs contained on Brand X. I am pleased that SC has consistently represented Sabbath and Ozzy so very well in terms of song re-creation releases to date!
I agree with you wholeheartedly about the inclusion of "Fairies Wear Boots" and "Hand Of Doom" (even if the instrumental passages were to become abbreviated a bit here and there, the tunes would still be cool).... and, of course, the ever diabolic "Electric Funeral"!!!
Also, "The Wizard" would be cool on an SC disc. I'm a harp player and I like to play harmony lines above and below the harp lines on the original track. The resultant fullness and richness of tone is ultra-heavy indeed, my friend!
Here's a few more "wish list" suggestions:
Cherry - UFO Lights Out - UFO Love To Love - UFO Too Hot To Handle - UFO We All Fall Down - Blue Murder
P.S. There have been a number of SLAYER song suggestions on this thread and I support the majority of those titles.

I would also like more UFO especially Lights Out; Too Hot To Handle; and Love To Love [which would be a great selection on an AMU disc] - and I also would like to add Only You Can Rock Me.

Yeah Dave, "Only You Can Rock Me" slipped my mind...thanx for making that addition!
I've been thinking that perhaps one or two songs from "MSG" (the Mc Cauley (sp?) Schenker Group, not "monosodium glutamate") should be considered as candidates for inclusion onto HB XIV and/or future HB series offerings. Two selections from that album stand-out in my mind:
1. "Anytime" 2. "Shadow Of The Night"
P.S. From REO Speedwagon, the song entitled "LIGHTNING", should also deserve some reasonable modicum of candidacy consideration (if not on an "HB series Spotlight" CDG, then perhaps on another Spotlight series disc; e.g. "3-Of-A-Kind", "AMU", or "VS" series project).
