Now that we know what is on XIII, let's try this again, with picking one song, adding it to the list, and go from there when we get 15, maybe suggesting deletions and additions.
1. Blind In Texas - WASP

Since Judas Priest did not make the cut for HB XIII, my nomination for HB XIV is "Heading Out to the Highway."

I'm surprised I've never seen Black Sabbath's "Changes" on karaoke or requested much. I'd love to have it. Maybe even on a 70s and 80s disc. Thanks.

Actually i have "changes" on a few import VCD's and another company recently made an all ozzy/sabbath cdg disc with it(and 16 other songs). it's pretty good. I won't mention the brand by name here though...i'm sure if you checked the net you'll find it.

Question- If I were to suggest Thunder's song "Dirty Love", would that fall under the AMU or HB product line? Also, if that Priest song came from Mark C, I would have had to recommend "Johnny B Goode" instead. LOL <hi mark>. Definetly would dig anything off "Point Of Entry".

A question for all of you, how do you feel about the song "Stars" by Hear 'n Aid? I know it made the #1 spot on VH-1's 100 Greatest Metal Moments, but how would that work with karaoke? I know it's got that long instrumental with 10 or so guitar solos, but it wouldn't be that much different than that George Thorogood song, or maybe even the break in Pink Floyd's Money.

I love "stars".. people have actually sang it at my show using the regular cd with the vocals reduced(by me). i second it.
they did make a "radio edit" of it with a shorter guitar solo. the best parts of the solo were defintly the George lynch and Yngwie malmsteen sections!!!

"Good" call Ultimatefan, THUNDER'S "Dirty Love", would be a good song to sing. That's Archive Hair Band material. Some other tracks that I'd considered singing, that's what I do sing, and my brother KJ's. I'd love to see : Tesla - Caught Up In A Dream , Extreme - Mutha, Don't Wanna Go To School, and last but not least > Skid Row - Monkey Buisness. We the people (Who actually sing), like to see the rare stuff, pop into a catalog some day soon!

Voodoo Chile [Slight Return] could fall into the gray areas of 60's & 70's; Head Bangers; and even slightly Blues.

"Voodoo Chile" would be good for a classic rock disk. (Hint, hint--we are overdue on a classic rock disk.)

I'm surprised that there's only five Hendrix songs in the SC catalog. Is there a licensing problem? Because one would think that an artist of Jimi Hendrix's caliber would be deserving of their own Spotlight disc, or at least a Star:
Hits of Jimi Hendrix: vol. 1 1. Purple Haze 2. Foxy Lady 3. Hey Joe 4. Red House 5. Little Wing --------------------- 6. Voodo Chile (slight return) 7. Fire 8. The Wind Cries Mary 9. All Along The Watchtower 10. Crosstown Traffic 11. Manic Depression 12. Stone Free 13. Are You Experienced? 14. Machine Gun 15. Bold As Love

Thanks, I'm surprised I don't remember seeing that one before. I guess DooWop has them for sale. Wonder why it was discontinued, though?

Dear Sound Choice, If you don't put Tenacious D's "Tribute" on the next Headbanger's disc, you are all a bunch of Untrue Fake Rockers Sincerely, karaokemonkey

Thanks for putting Tribute on the not to do list. Your stupid comment about SC being untrue fake rockers really helps someone to decide to do this song. I just hope that SC does put this song on some disc - AMU or Movie Madness, or where ever they can put it.
BTW, what is a untrue fake rocker? And maybe the people at SC just don't mind being called that.
If you really want to see a song, you should put up positive comments. I for one would love to have tribute on karaoke. It would be a great fun song to do.
