I'm dying for Sound Choice to make Hits of Heart Volume 2 and Hits of Pat Benatar Volume 2!
With all of the songs available by both Heart & Pat, there should be another disc available for those of us rocker girls..
Some great ideas for future songs would be
Heart: Bebe Le Strange, How Can I Refuse?, Kick It Out, Little Queen, Nobody Home, Tall Dark Handsome Stranger & Who Will You Run To
Pat Benatar: My Clone Sleeps Alone, In The Heat Of The Night, Wuthering Heights, Anxiety (Get Nervous), Sometimes The Good Guys Finish First, and Strawberry Wine
We need more of the women who pioneered rock for us! Let's send a message out and get some new "old" tunes in our rotations!!!

"Wuthering Heights" would be absolutely awesome......I know it's a rocker chick tune, but I would love to sing that one if it were ever to magically become available on a future SC disc. It is one helluva structurally and emotionally moving and powerful musical composition IMHO, and I think it would be a damned exciting and cathartic song to sing! Yeah baby, bring it on!!!
"Mistral Wind" ..... an excellent Heart tune to include on a future disc, as well as Benatar's "My Clone Sleeps Alone", and "In The Heat Of The Night" ..... all of this represents dynamic, powerful stuff. Both of you rocker chix have got my vote for your suggestions!

I think with all these good suggestions we should be able to come up with a nice FULL 15 song disc of not before released Sound Choice versions! I have a couple of Pat songs that are another label's and aren't nearly the quality that a Sound Choice disc would have!

forgot to say, I'm ALL about some more Pat Benatar, though. Precious Time would be a killer song for SC's lineup.

Do you mean Heart is a nono for singing at karaoke or no more discs with songs of theirs? That would be a big bummer if they don't allow anyone to copy their songs for karaoke!
As for Pat, I'm ready to just say any new songs we can get of hers would be most awesome!

1. Wurthering Heights (originally done by Kate Bush) 2. I Need A Lover (John Cougar) 3. Don't Let It Show (Alan Parsons Project) 4. Just Like Me (Paul Revere & The Raiders) 5. Helter Skelter (Beatles) 6. We Belong (Lowen & Navarro - btw - they do the second verse in Spanish)
- -and I'm sure there are others especially from the True Love cd, and songs by Kelly and Steinberg (who also wrote Madonna's Like A Virgin) - -

It would be really nice to keep a listing of those artists that have refused licensing... or to add one that suddenly we no longer have the right to. Even just a thread on the Forum somewhere!
