I went to the Kiss/Aerosmith concert and heard two samples from the upcoming aerosmith cd coming in january.

Interesting they are both covers
Aretha's I ain't never loved a man (now girl) the way thay i love you

and I forget the group name nut it's please don't go

Is it "Please Don't Go" by KC & The Sunshine Band? The song was their one hit ballad. It starts out "Babe, I love you so... I want you to know..."

There was a dance version of the song made in the 80s by a group called KWS.

I thought the new aerosmith lp was all blues covers. Anyone else hear that?

I checked the Good Morning Vietnam soundtrack on allmusic.com and "Baby, Please Don't Go" is performed by Them. The lead singer of Them was Van Morrison and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin played the guitar solo on that original recording.
