Definitely... it's a shame that so many people tend to poke fun at him. And I've always thought Reb Beach to be a fantastic guitarist.

Got all the Winger stuff on one form or another. Loved that band and they never did get a fair shake. Saw Reb playing guitar for White Snake this summer. All I can say is, WOW!!! He covered Steve Via's licks very well. Plus Kip played a solo acustic set. Figured that would bomb, but it wasn't too bad. Didn't really fit into the rest of the Hair Band bill, but came off very well indeed. And last year I saw Winger on tour with Poison, was suprised to see the whole crowd into thier set. I always figured I was the only one into them, since everyone I talked to around here did nothing but slag them all the time. Put my vote in for anything by them, for either the head bangers line or the all made up line.

I'm beating a dead horse here, but...I am repeating a request from an ask SC section. With the release of No More Tears (I think for the 3rd time) lp version. How would people feel if SC put out the radio edit version of No More Tears on say Headbangers XIII? Just getting an opinion and possible input. It may seem that No More Tears is available on the Brick 5 and Brickette 5, and an Ozzy Star, and the upcoming Ozz Sab disc, so it looks like SC might not want to do the song again....
...and I know that there are other Ozzy/Sabbath songs that could also be put out on karaoke, so why repeat NMT instead of another song. My response is that I would love to have a more karaoke friendly version of NMT, since I have only did the song once and will probably only do it again on a very slow night or need a refill.

I would agree with David, I've never done "No More Tears" due to the length. But it's not one of my favorite Ozzy songs, so I'm not losing any sleep over it. But you make a good point, and I'm sure there's many others who agree, whether they post online or not. Above all, I'd much rather see some new Sabbath and Ozzy songs being released. There's no way I'm buying that new disc since I already have all the songs (except for the Lita Ford song).
Reb Beach is playing for Whitesnake now? Wow! Last time I checked he was in Dokken... he's turning into a real "journeyman" now, much like Vivian Campbell.

I agree with Mark....a greater variety of Ozzy/Sabbath material is vastly preferred as opposed to massive overkill inclusion of previously-released material appearing upon future discs.
While I am happy and encouraged to see SC finally getting more on-board with the Ozzy/Sab stuff, I am also hoping that they will start thinking in terms of effecting more variety, thus greater selection, with regard to future song releases under the Ozzy and Black Sabbath banner!

Man, I get so pumped when I see all these excellent suggestions for any metal to be released on karaoke, whether it's for the latest HBH installment or a theme disc.
At any rate, I guess I would like to specify my picks for future releses:
Type O Negative - MY GIRLFRIEND'S GIRLFRIEND (excellent introductory tune to the general public from this band)
Iron Maiden - anything, but I will support both THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST and TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT 100% for starters. FLIGHT OF ICARUS is a good choice too.
Judas Priest - again, anything is good from this band, but I must emphasise DESERT PLAINS, with LOVE BITES running a close second, followed by THE RIPPER and BEYOND THE REALMS OF DEATH.
Savatage - can't go wrong with this band, but I think EDGE OF THORNS would be the best tune to introduce the band to the general public with, or even anything they did from 1989 on, like GUTTER BALLET or JESUS SAVES. Prior to 89, the material was heavier, such as POWER OF THE NIGHT, and can be brought in later once ppl know Savatage better.
Iced Earth - I would DIE if I could ever see THE PHANTOM OPERA GHOST, or even DRACULA, DAMIEN, or THE GHOST OF FREEDOM on karaoke!! I know, Iced Earth fans will attack me for mking picks from HORROR SHOW instead of the previous material, but HS was my first Iced Earth CD... I haven't heard anything else yet, but I am working on it.
W.A.S.P. - gotta have BLIND IN TEXAS, a classic drinking song, which is appropriate for most bars & pubs. I must also strongly emphasise FOREVER FREE, HOLDING ON, and BREATHE, as these are excellent ballads. HALLOWED GROUND is a dedication to 9-11, if that piques any interest? But other rocker from Blackie & Co would have to include: LOVE MACHINE; WILD CHILD; 95-NASTY; MANEATER; CHAINSAW CHARLIE (MURDERS IN THE NEW MORGUE); SCARED TO DEATH; WICKED LOVE; DRIVEBY / HELLDORADO.
As for King Diamond & Mercyful Fate, they are prolly best suited for a Halloween disc, along with some choice Type O Negative picks, and others from other artists, like Ozzy's BARK AT THE MOON. But, King and Fate have a few gooders that would be just right for a generic metal disc: King Diamond - HELP!!! Mercyful Fate - Curse Of The Pharoahs King Diamond - No Presents For Christmas (a must, and an ideal introduction to the public) Mercyful Fate - EGYPT

"Curse Of The Pharoahs" is WAY too easy to sing. If they ever came out with a King Diamond/Mercyful fate song, I would hope it would be a nice, challenging one.

I agree with W T Wasp, I would love to hear SC do some Savatage! Definitely gotta be after 89 with something more piano influenced. Maybe All That I Bleed or Edge Of Thorns, but I think the ultimate would be "Believe" from Streets. Jon Oliva's voice on that one gives me the chills every time I hear it.

Savatage's "believe" is incredible!!! I knowseveral people that have asked for that opne and many other savatage songs. Some of my friends have become good personal freinds of the band. they usually play football with them when they are in this part of the country. I met them once when they were opening for Testament in pittsburgh when Gutter Ballet came out. They were a very cool bunch of guys.

Well, see there, now you have a list of groups I'd like to see, Savatage (who opened previously for) - Testament (who opened previously for) - Rob Halford (solo stuff & Fight stuff) - (who opened previously for) Iron Maiden ....
(And Queensryche was also on the bill, but we can't really request songs for QR until HB XV or so).
Which still leaves room for more Pantera, Priest, Slayer, King Diamond, Motorhead, and even a Bon Jovi tune.
Damn! and how did I forget Anthrax - - and that song Room For One More or is One More, I keep forgetting

After listening to the new Korn cd; there is a hidden track, a live version of Metalica's One. This is a more karaoke friendly version and clocks in at a little more than 4 minutes. This might be a good selection for karaoke and a HB disc.

I am putting a request for a ne band that soyunds like classic metal. I just heard on MTV and was going " YES THE RETURN OF THE GUITAR SOLO!!!!"
The Darkness - "I believe in a thing called love"
Point of interest: They formed after winning a karaoke compettition singing bohemian rhaspody and when you hear the afore mentioned song you'll see the influence of the band

And speaking of new stuff, any chance of getting some of the new metal on a HB disc... say like Motograter's Down; on 40 Below Summer's "Medicate Yourself"; or Iron Maiden's "Wildest Dreams"?

"Pull Me Under" has been discussed on several occasions over the last few years; it seems somewhat unlikely that this tune will be relased by SC, based on the comments/feedback the studio manager has given re: the song, but it also seemed unlikely that we'd ever get an Yngwie tune on a SC disc (which ulitmately happened). Besides the broader popularity issue, the song is a bit long for karaoke... which is why several have suggested the radio edit version of the tune. Time will tell.
I perform "Hole-Hearted" (not sure which company recorded it, but it wasn't SC) at shows with a friend of mine (it's mainly his performance, I'm Nuno on that one), and it goes over quite well. This would be a good song if SC hasn't done it.

Like Nirvana or the Foo Fighters and want say some Mercful Fate or King Diamond or Motorhead; well that's Probot - Dave Gorhls project with some rockers on it - check out the hidden track - I Am The Wizard with Jack Black of vocals.

Speaking not enough of in th SC line up....STONE TEMPLE PILOTS>CRACKERMAN and DOWN would make a great contribution to ANY SC disc release. These songs rock! Not to forget DEAD AND BLOATED.

Hey Dante, I'm pretty sure there's liscensing restrictions with those Stone Temple Pilots songs. Same thing with Alice In Chains; too bad, because anything off the Facelift album (or STP's ist album) would rock.
There are SOME Stone Temple Pilots songs on SC, but they're the newer ones. Not sure what's up with the restrictions regarding that band.
As for HB material, I could definitely go for more Pantera. ESPECIALLY from the Vulgar Display Of Power album!

It figures!I recently picked up STP'S/Thankyou with the DVD included. It's a great release.I'd like to know who we could harass to get those restrictions lifted...hehe.I can only do so much with vocal eliminators and panning without losing all the low end and drum sound. Thanks for the info.
