I know what you are saying Flameslayer, I have also asked for Godzilla way back when, and when they opened for Sammy Hagar this last tour it was the song before [Don't Fear] The Reaper], so at least to them it is considered one of thier classics.

There are two versions: one from the album Dehumanizer and one from Wayne's World II (which is also on the album Dehumanizer). It was Dio's second time with Sabbath and it looked like things were going good until Ozzy decided to retire and Sabbath was going to open for Ozzy and Dio did not want to open for Ozzy, which allowed Rob Halford to do the vocals for Sabbath (although he did come in too early on N.I.B. - but hey, thats live music and him coming in at the last minute
I have a CD with him coming in way too early on "Children of the Grave" (bootleg CD). He sounded fine on "N.I.B."

Did we lose Alice Cooper's "Go To Hell"? Haven't noticed it on the updated list. Thanks!

Sorry, memory can be a funny thing, N.I.B./Children Of The Grave, how could I get them mixed up, but I knew it was one classic Ozzy era Sabbath song.

Just got back from Ted Nugent opening for Alice Cooper - ol' Alice didn't do Go To Hell, but one of the rare post Nightmare tunes he did was "Lost In America". So, I'd like to see LIA on a HB disc or an All Made Up.
Also, Ted did do all five songs that SC has out on karaoke. He opened with Free For All and then did Wango Tango right after that. Then he later did Hey Baby and Motor City Madhouse right after Hey Baby... so maybe, the sixth Nuge song would be the one before or after he played Cat Scratch Fever....Kiss My Ass (before) or Stranglehold (after)...

Wow - I haven't been here in a long time...glad to see that rj is still here and pulling for Queensryche.
Here are my current picks - from the female metal contingentcy:
Badlands - Dreams in the Dark Lynch Mob - Dream Until Tomorrow Pantera - Cemetary Gates Anthrax - Room for One More or Safe Home (it's new, but so what????) Lita Ford - Back to the Cave or Let it Go Black Sabbath - Lady Evil
and i will definitely get behind anything from Queensryche, Dokken or Sevendust.

Put in my support for Lita Ford - Gotta Let Go or Back To The Cave Black Sabbath - Lady Evil, but Neon Knights might be better Anthrax - Room For One More (isn't this song their biggest?)

Lady Evil and Neon Knights are both good, but I'd rather have Children Of The Sea than either of them.
We need a good, "singable" Anthrax song like Indians, Antisocial, Armed And Dangerous, or Madhouse. I've actually never heard Room For One More. Is that with the new singer?

Room For One More is off the Sound Of White Noise lp (or CD - or whatever you call releases these days)
As for Children of the Sea, I will also wholeheartly second that one. There are just so many out there for Sabbath - but I am still partial to Neon Knights (basically because it rocks more than Children, and on a Fri or Sat a nice 3 1/2 minute rocker is cool. Now if we can only get that 3 of a kind - Sabbath/Ozzy/Dio.

I've been getting back into Judas Priest - old band days thing. Just ordered HB6 & 12 (Breaking the Law, Turbo Lover). Picked up their Metal Works '73-'93 CD last week (my turntable died about 20 years ago so I had to start from scratch) and think "Metal Gods" would be a cool karaoke tune. Used to play "Exciter" years ago - great tune, but couldn't ever try singing it now; gettin' too old I suppose. Metal Gods though would work and it's got a great groove.

Yeah, with Rob back with the Priest, it is a good time for more Priest. Lucky enough to see Rob during his last tour, set list was 50/50 Priest/Halford stuff. Could a Star disc be possible, or even a Maiden Vs. Priest disc?
Anyways, my top 3 for karaoke by Priest

"Highway Star" is on HB II. "Head First" is on Brick 5. "Big Balls" is on 8532. "Sin City" is on 8701. Otherwise, everything on that list looks good.

I know some of you might say, it ain't an HB song, but I dusted off the first Night Ranger lp, and thought, hell "Eddie's Coming Out Tonight" would be cool to have on karaoke.

I must have brain-farted on "Sin City", "Highway Star", and "Big Balls" .... thanks for straightening-me-out on that one, buddy! As for "Head First", I just wish it would be included on a Spotlight disc so as NOT to remain available on a "brick" ONLY! Same argument holds for "RAINBOW IN THE DARK" by Ronnie James Dio. It would be nice to get that song included on a Spotlight at some point in the near future as well.....among a number of other tunes too, of course!

Rockhawk, I bought Brickette 5 because of Rainbow In The Dark! A bit pricy just to get one Headbanger disc, but you also get -No More Tears (Ozzy) -Yankee Rose (David Lee Roth) -Back For More (Ratt) -Mr. Roboto (Styx)
There's quite a few good tunes on there, and if I'm not mistaken, many of them aren't available on other discs (yet).
I also liked the two 70's and 80's discs, and the other one (a 50's&60's disc) HAS gotten some play...
pretty good deal for me. I actually HATE it when they break up the bricks/brickettes, because I DID pay so much for it already! LOL! I bought Brickette5 for the Queensryche tune "Another Rainy Night (Without You)" and I was TICKED OFF that they used that tune on the Queensryche VS Rush disc!!
<<edit>> In fact, I do wish they'd do Brickettes of the OTHER bricks. Would definately make it more affordable!

Brickette 5 was one of the first large purchase I made: with Headbangers Vol Zero (what I like to call it) and some cool rock tunes on the other discs - Dire Straits' So FAr Away gets a great reaction BTW - I also liked that it had Head First by the Babys. From the 50's & 60's disc, I will do one or two, Hungry by Paul Revere & The Raiders (and if that Sammy fan is reading this, yeah, Sammy covered this tune) and Shaking All Over by the Guess Who. I bought the Brickette beacuse the Country songs didn't appeal to me, but I bought the other Bricks 1-4, since I did know quite a few of the songs on the Country disc.

Any chance of getting any new songs by head bangers, i.e., Ill Nino - How Can I Live Iron Maiden - Wildest Dreams or music from Underworld, there is a song from a group called Damning Well featuring members of Limp Bizkit, Filter, A Perfect Circle, and Nine Inch Nails, and another song by Johnette Napolitano (Concrete Blonde). how about "don't call me dude" by scatterbrain or "victims of the future" by Gary Moore (yes he was metal before he went blues..he was quite the shredder back in the early 80's))

Gary was into the blues first, especially John Mayall and Peter Green, but yes, he did rock, he was also friends with Phil Lynott and did some time with Thin Lizzy. Then again, metal came out of the blues.

Hey hey, hang on a second. Let's not lose Go To Hell, it's a killer Alice Tune, far better than lost in america, both would be nice but lets go to hell first!

Go To Hell is a good song, and I really like it, but Lost In America seems a little bit more karaoke friendly (but there are plenty of songs with a long instrumental track - so that arguement might be mute). I would like to have both, but, would side with LIA first - just my opinion.
During the recent Bare Bones tour, one of the few post Nightmare songs was Lost In America - he did not do Go To Hell, although during the Brutal Planet Tour he did both.
Hell, I would love another Alice Star, this time with songs not released already. Or even if they took the Star and made it a Spotlight by adding songs would be cool. Still need to see songs like Cold Ethyl; Desperado; Muscle Of Love; Teenage Lament '74; Guilty; Give The Kid A Break; Clones; Aspirin Damage; and Department Of Youth.
