With BC's hinting of the Spotlight this coming November, and with both Star Discs, you would think that this great band had gotten enough songs created on karaoke...
WRONG!
"Rumors" is a great song (and one few people know until the wonderful beat starts up!)...
Thanks in advance,
Matt

If there is a Spot coming out, that might delay me from buying the Star is case of duplicates, but with Little Lies and Oh, Daddy on the Star I just might pick it up anyway.
A few more suggestions for the Spotlight:
Blue Letter Songbird World Turning Sentimental Lady (off of Bare Trees when Bob Welch was a member of the Mac - or use Bob Welch's version which featured the Mac.
Also for old FM songs: Black Magic Woman The Green Manalishi
(I know BMW is on karaoke by Santana and TGM is on karaoke by Judas Priest)

Remember the old saying "you can't get there from here"? I want to make sure the information about this particular Spotlight is crystal clear. Here is the body of the FM post:

Re: Fleetwood Mac For anyone interested, there will be a Fleetwood Mac Spotlight in November. It will have "Hold Me", and won't have "Silver Springs" and "Gypsy". Other than that, it's the two Stars combined. ......
- No hint. It's coming out.
- All songs are repeats from the two Stars, except for "Hold Me". No new songs on this Spot.
The idea of multiple product formats is to provide more choices and flexibility for different customer types about songs and money. Hope this helps.
BTW: "Rumors" isn't a bad idea for a future disc.
I loved the original incarnations of the Fleetwood Mac Blues Band, especially Peter Green (after he graduated from his stint as Eric Clapton's replacement in the John Mayall Bluesbreakers school of Blues). I just don't think there are even enough music fans out there, much less music fans who are also into karaoke, to justify those type of song choices. Except for maybe a Blues disc, where there is more room for esoteric and head-scratching choices.

Sorry BC, the fault was mine... in my initial post, I wasn't clear enough that the SPOTLIGHT was coming out... in that the sucker's already in a post-production stage...
I just wanted to start a thread of other songs that you guys should consider!

Didn't see the original post by BC until later. I am not asking for songs to put on a disc, but just making suggestions for songs that might be considered for future or other discs.
Nice to see that someone knows of Peter Green, I also heard that he will be on the next Peter Gaberiel lp on a song or two.

If you're contemplating more Fleetwood Mac songs, how about that transcendent opening tune from the bestselling FLEETWOOD MAC album: Monday Morning! Nobody has EVER covered it on CDG.

Matt, do you mean the first two commercially successful lps?
How did I forget Oh Well, (oh well). Wasn't it also covered by the blasters...I remember seeing a group open for Queen for the Game tour and it being on an lp...
and on another note: Lindsay Buckingham...I know Holiday Road is coming out (thanks), but what about his big single - - Trouble?

That's the big question David! (And yeah, I meant the self titled albulm and the "Rumors" albulm)

Resurrecting this from last year's depths...
Would like to recommend the following songs for release: Big Love * Black Magic Woman* Blue Letter* Crystal * Family Man * Hypnotized - * I Don't Want To Know Landslide - Live version from "The Dance" Man Of The World * Monday Morning * Need Your Love So Bad * Peacekeeper * Rumors * Seven Wonders * Songbird
* = done by competitor - SC could do it better!
Special kudos to Dina at JOLT for spurring the request for the more popular "Landslide" LIVE ("The Dance")... which seems to have received more airplay lately than the normal LP version ever did!

I would like to see "Oh Well" on karaoke also, but is there enough singing on that song to warrant it? I like the live version that Lindsey sings, but I remember that it had a very long guitar solo.
