Also, it would be a good one for the crowd to sing along w/. Even if they haven't heard the song (and I've only heard it a few times myself), the "ring out the old, ring in the new" and "ding dong ding dong" parts repeat often enough that people will catch on.

I've asked for it before, but here it is again, since Joe Walsh was brought up (it's not even a minute long, though): "All Night Laundromat Blues".
Best,

_BIG_ 2nd to all of these!!!!
Actually, there are a lot of other good ones on your list as well. "My Maria" is another one I've always loved (both versions), but it wouldn't work with me singing it. I'd love to hear someone sing it for karaoke, though!

I'd like to see Perry Como's Seattle done. But if you are doing a song on a city, why not a whole city-songs spotlight? Here might be a few possibilities:
Seattle, Perry Como Do You Know the Way to San Jose, Dionne Warwick I Left My Heart in San Francisco, Tony Bennett Kansas City Tulsa Time, Don Williams City of New Orleans, Arlo Guthrie Sweet Home Chicago, Blues Brothers Walking in Memphis, Marc Cohn New York New York, Frank Sinatra Please Come to Boston Viva Las Vegas, Elvis Amarillo by Morning, George Strait Route 66, Nat King Cole Heart of Rock n' Roll, Huey Lewis Keep on a Rockin' Me Baby, Steve Miller I've Been Everywhere, Hank Snow

SC did a disc like that called City Limits, SC 8397, one of my earliest karaoke purchases. Of your list only the Cohn was on it.

Changing the subject back to general requests (if you don't mind):
"For the Love of Him"-Bobbi Martin (I _think_ that's her name; I heard this on an oldies station yesterday and was thinking it would be a good one to sing for karaoke)

Glad we had some nice weather for you, Marco! I myself have not done any karaoke in a while. Maybe tonight, though. Most of the time this summer I've either been soooooo busy or soooooo tired. ;O

These are great requests! There are so many others....I don't know if "Kicks" and "Hungry" by the Raiders is out there, or more obscure things like "Desiree" by The Left Banke....boy you could go on forever.
How many of you care whether this kind of thing is on a true karaoke disc with graphics, or just a non-graphic version with the various mixes? I find a lot of people don't even seem to mind just having the tracks, even without the graphics.
Nice board up here, and Soundchoice does great work!

I have both of these, Kicks on an old Pioneer karaoke disc & Hungry is on a Sound Choice set

For business kj's, the lyrics are very important. For home use, you could get away with just instrumentals & they could print a lyric sheet from many of the lyric sites.

Sound Choice has the Belle Stars version of Iko Iko on SC8197 but not the Dixie Cups.
