I know that y'all's gonna think I'm completely off of my nut. . . however, I was just listening to my record of Jonathan Livingston Seagull (don't even bother asking. . .), and decided to see if "Lonely Looking Sky" was out on karaoke.
Not to much surprise, but to much disappointment, not a single manufacturer has touched this classic and famous Neil Diamond piece.
Please consider this as a request for it.

RC, is that supposed to be one of those trick questions, where the answer is nothing, zero, or it never happened?
In my personal viewpoint, Fogelberg was a talented musician who had a couple of good songs, but was too self-absorbed and whiney to ever command more than a two or three song listen. He kind of rode the coattails of the Eagles/Jackson Browne/CS&N/James Taylor singer-songwriter bandwagon, but couldn't really hang with that talent level.
But I'm guessing the answer is that the album had some special packaging or he played all the instruments himself. Or, knowing you, maybe there was a guest appearance by Jimmy Buffet or Wierd Al? - lol

I actually know two of the songs on marco's latest posting... -DAN FOGELBERG-AS THE RAVEN FLIES -PETER FRAMPTON-DO YOU FEEL LIKE WE DO And I definitely second "As the Raven Flies"... Dan Fogelberg is wonderful and that song was one of his best songs! Posts: 492 | From: Wichita, KS, USA | Registered: Mar 2000

oh Matt... how could you not like "Same Old Lang Syne", "Run For The Roses", "Hard To Say" (or anything from "An Innocent Age")? Even "Part Of The Plan", "Heart Hotels", "Missing You" and "The Language Of Love" were all great pop songs. He may be whiny, but his music is great!
I would listen to him before Jackson Browne (who has two songs that I like) and CS&N anyday.... The Eagles and James Taylor would be some competition though.

1. The Cars - Touch And Go 2. Cheap Trick - If You Want My Love 3. Cheap Trick - Stop This Game 4. ELO - Showdown
Good picks...
How about these: Kansas - It Takes A Women's Love To Make A Man Cheap Trick - Tonight It's You Cheap Trick - High Roller Cheap Trick - Voices The Cars - Cruiser The Cars - Moving In Stereo Aerosmith - Kings And Queens Rush - Subdivisions B-52's - Private Idaho
Yeah!! Rush's "Subdivisions" rocks!!
Also Cheap Trick's "Tonight It's You" is a totally rockin' pick!
In fact, that whole album ("Standing On The Edge") featured a lot of good stuff that would be great for karaoke... also, "Kiss Me Red" from the album "The Doctor", and the two tracks featured on the original Heavy Metal soundtrack, "Reach Out" and "Must Be Dreamin'"

I think I need to be educated. What stance did Dan Fogelberg take that you disagreed with? I don't think I ever heard about that (maybe that's why I don't have a problem with him personally) LOL

I always like J. Geils & PETER WOLF, but Lights Out is one of my least favs, but still would do it, would love to have Romeo Is Dead or Come As You Are or Mars Needs Women. DAVID BOWIE, BLUE JEAN is okay but would rather have Diamond Dogs JOHN COUGAR, PLAY GUITAR, I'd second this one. CARS, would rather have You're All I Got Tonight/Bye Bye Love instead of TOUCH AND GO, but how about Emerson, Lake & Palmer Touch And Go. E.L.O.-SHOWDOWN, 2nd this one too. GEORGE HARRISON-BLOW AWAY or Crackbox Palace As for the added,
Aerosmith - Kings And Queens, would rather see Last Child Rush - Subdivisions, 2nd this one B-52's - Private Idaho is on SC 8522 New Wave Hits Vol 2

Nice to see a little bit of backup for Mr. Fogelberg! BC: the answer to the trick question was that it was produced by Joe Walsh! Posts: 745 | From: Portland, OR, USA | Registered: Aug 2000

Good Answer RC! I also noticed that Dan Fogelberg's "Souvenirs" (the album from 1974 with the song "As The Raven Flies") included background vocals by Don Henley, Glenn Fry, Randy Meisner, and Graham Nash. Sounds like a pretty awesome lineup to me.

Funny, I was just thinking that he needed to be strapped into a hockey helmet and placed in a padded room to keep from damaging his brain even further.
I suppose we could give him rounded plastic scissors and let him cut out his own little stars.

I asked for It's All Too Much before and will again - - either the Beatles or the Journey cover version. Or even I Want To Tell You by the Beatles or Ted Nugent's cover.
