Perhaps I should clarify. Have you ever seen that VH1 show, "The List"? That's where someone from the celebrity panel nominates a their favorite list of artists according to the topic (like Best Metal Band, etc.) and the other celebrities can veto the choices and place their own favorites. I thought it would be interesting to see which songs stayed on the list the longest. We've got two CD's it seems, I'm sure that the next player could combine them into one. I like the suggestions. So let's see how long your pick stays in the mix!
Play on!

I've "Turn to Stone" posted here a couple of times. I was thinking it has already been released then looked it up and saw it was on a Brick (who wants to buy that many CDG's for one song?). Anyway, I've tried Sound Choice's version and I really didn't think it was that great. I imagine ELO is a pretty difficult band to replicate. They had such a unique sound. One of my favorite 70s bands!

Yes, Turn To Stone is on a Brick, and yes, why can't it be put out on an more affordable disc? I am vetoing For Those About To Rock because it is on a Spotlight Series AC/DC Vs. Kiss disc - Disc 8701 and resubmitting Blood And Roses by the Smithereens.

Whoa! I go away for a week and look what happens to the list! But it's all good. I'm going to tabulate the votes and designate who's song suggestions stayed on the longest. Since I started the contest, my suggestions do not count, so I can't be the winner. Please allow me the week to figure it all out.
Here's what I was going for. We have several threads (in several music genres) that just seem to be stagnant. I thought if we could limit the suggestions to 15 songs (and a bonus track to suggest to the next poster to possibly use) that we could encourage dialogue and maybe a little healthy competion.
***Excellent job to DavidE and Tony for providing the dialogue along with their list.***
The object of this game is for YOU to suggest the song that will stay on the CD the entire month. The more songs that you suggest that stay the entire period, the better your odds of winning. The next time we try this game, I will explain the rules a little better. Thank you all for playing, and at FEB 8th, we'll see what CD we came up with. (And ALL of the songs that were suggested will be considered on the next game, I'll write them all down and pull them from a hat, to make a list for the next ULTIMATE CD!)
