She has some excellent songs in Spanish. I agree Ojos Asi is my favorite. Her performance at last years Latin Music Awards of that song was incredible. I hate what Gloria Estefan did with the lyrics to that song (English version. Her and Emilio are trying to hard to create something for Shakira in the english market...I think they should leave her alone. For those not familiar with her, she has often been called the Latin Alanis Morrisette because of her "yodeling" style of singing. Another great Spanish song is "Estoy Aqui."

All I can say is that Shakira must definately be a no-no. There used to be a few of her songs for SoundChoice out there but recently I have noticed that they have been removed from the disc's I asked this question in a posting and received no response as to why she had been deleted. I own the disc with the song I wanted but I was a little miffed that no reply to my question was given.

I love Shakira. I sing ojos asi and all the girls belly dance. i actually think the guys like that song just because of that. I have whenever,wherever on 2 different discs.They did a pretty good remake, one is much better than the other. you can email me a jtskaroake@yahoo.com and i will give u the titles. I already was taken to task once, nicely, for mentioning other brands on this message board once before. I as you can see am still kind of new. Gloria is published, i have lots of her songs. Maybe they just don't do it anymore. You think she'd be happy people like her songs!!!! oh well, since i'm not famous or EVER LIKELY to be, i guess i'll just hope for songs from groups who like us to sing their songs!!!!! kdiva
