Mark, you are right, the Rhino 70's disc is great and most of the songs on that box set are on karaoke...side note, I just saw their 80's box set and is pretty much the same, lots of great stuff and most of it on karaoke. Rhino like Sound Choice both do great jobs on their releases. Check out the Cars box set or the re-release of Alice Cooper's Billion Dollar Babies.
Speaking of Cooper, how about Go To Hell or Cold Ethyl
as for others Wouldn't It Be Nice or God Only Knows would be cool
McCartney's Junior's Farm
The Bertha Butt Boogie would be fun too

I guess this song is discontinued, I remember doing it from a SC disc, but cannot find it in "search". Can you please consider releasing "Count Me In" by Gary Lewis & The Playboys to Custom disc?

Wow, have I been having fun. Recently I've looked over my ancient record collection of 45's for songs from the 60's. I was able to get many of the songs off the Internet and listen to them once again. I'd like to request the following songs. I don't know if they have been requested before, or how well they did on the charts, but I still think they're great.
Baby, Take Me In Your Arms - Jefferson (not Jefferson Airplane)- nice ballad.
Soul Deep - The Box Tops - After playing it a few times, I couldn't get it out of my head.
Boogaloo Down Broadway - Fantastic Johnny C- I use to play this one every day when I was a teenager. It was played often at high school dances.
Reach Out I'll Be There - The Four Tops- This one reminds me of 7th grade!

While I was perusing MYCDG.com for songs, these came to mind as songs I would love to see. 1.)We're Not Gonna Take It - The Who surprised it's not already done.
2.)(Nothin' But a)House Party -J Geils 3.)What Does it Take-Jr. Walker 4.)Spanish Harlem -Ben E. King/Drifters 5.)Every Kind of People- Robert Palmer 6.)Keep Searchin'- Del Shannon 7.)Out in The Country- Three Dog Night

Michelle, good choices with Trampled Under Foot by Led Zeppelin. Unfortuantly, I think that licensing would prohibit She's A Rainbow by the Stones; As Tears Go By by Marianne Faithful; and Jumpin' Jack Flash by Aretha. I will also second Move Over by Janis Joplin and Tell Mama by Etta James.
1. Gotta pipe in ((AGAIN)) for Mr. Blue Sky by ELO; 2. either California Man or Downed by Cheap Trick; 3. Lights Out by UFO; 4. Nobody's Fault by Aerosmith; 5. She by Tommy James; 6. She by Kiss; 7. Something So Right by Paul Simon; and 8. either The Angels (Wanna Wear My Red Shoes) or I'm Not Angry by Elvis Costello.

LOVE YOU MORE TODAY-SPIRAL STAIRCASE WELCOME BACK-JOHN SEBASTIAN OPUS 17-4 SEASONS CAN'T GET MY EYES OFF OF YOU-4 SEASONS HOOKED ON A FEELING-BLUE SWEDE VOICES-CHEAP TRICK (any CT!)
"More Today Than Yesterday", "Welcome Back" (on one of the TV theme discs--and yes, it's the full version, not the abbreviated one from the show), "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" (solo Frankie Valli, BTW, not Four Seasons) and "Hooked On a Feeling" (which came out within the past year).
I'm sorry that I can't remember the disc numbers off-hand, but these are out there from SC.
Best,
Mark

I'd like to find- "Be Thankful For What You've Got" by William Devaughn.
This is the song with the lyrics
Though you may not drive a great big Cadillac Gangsta whitewalls, TV antennas in the back You may not have a car at all But remember brothers and sisters You can still stand tall
Just be thankful for what you've got Though you may not drive a great big Cadillac Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene With a gangsta lean Gangsta whitewalls, TV antennas in the back
You may not have a car at all But remember brothers and sisters You can still stand tall Just be thankful for what you've got
Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene With a gangsta lean wooh-ooh-ooh Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene With a gangsta lean wooh-ooh-ooh Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene With a gangsta lean wooh-ooh-ooh

Big 'Hell-yeah!" for "Be Thankful For What You've Got" by William Devaughn (and thanks for posting the lyrics, I didn't know that was the title, but recognized it by its lyrics) I think a lot of folks would recognize that one.
(working on my gangsta-leaning right now)

"Tighten Up" is on a few other versions. Bad form to be saying who... I do have the Laser and DVD version, but don't remember anybody ever singing them yet! LOL!
Good Search Engine for any karaoke songs. And yes, by all means, more Cheap Trick!!

I would like to second Rock & Roll Music, but I would like to have three versions on one disc: Chuck Berry - The Beatles - and The Beach Boys. A bit overkill, but I could choose which version I would like to do that night.

I'm looking for "Don't Worry, Baby" by the Beach Boys. Currently, it's only available on a couple crummy labels.

"What You See is What You Get" is by The Dramatics. It was a top 10 hit.
"Don't Worry Baby" would be great! The Beach Boys are under-represented by Sound Choice. I think a Beach Boys disc would sell and have put together, along with others, some suggestions elsewhere on this thread. Hard to believe when you see who has Star discs or "Hits of" discs that the Beach Boys don't.
