Did anybody watch the CMT awards last night?
First I have to say it was reall nice to see Loretta Lynn get the Johnny Cash visionary award as she has always been one of my favorite singers.
Now I didn't get to see the whole thing but I seen Gretchen Wilson get 2 awards last night and neither time did I see her thank Big & Rich and for everything they've done for her I hope that she thanked them and I just didn't see it. So did she or not?
It is also nice to the older generation of country music to be making videos again. Loretta, Dolly and etc.

I missed the first hour or so. I was wondering what Rick Shroder was doing there. Then I see him winning a best director award, for Whiskey Lullaby. Who knew? LOL It was hard enough getting past Silver Spoons to see him on NYPD Blue, and now he's making country music videos?
As for Gretchen not thanking Big & Rich, they get thanked everytime their royalty checks arrive off her sales LOL. But, I'm sure part of her not publicly saying anything was more an oversight on her part. Quite often, these fast risers forget what to say at award shows. I did do a second take when Heart sang with her though, and wondered if she was related.
I liked Toby Keith's dig at the CMA's when he said this award show is voted by fans, so there won't be an bitching in the morning about losing LOL.
