Now I'm not trying to sell anything, 'm just gonna tell you guys about this product/program I got myself into to help, well my weight problem.
As everyone knows I'm a big guy, but now my has gone out on me twice in the past 3 months. I was told back in December that I have a herniation of the L4/L5 disc in my lower back. Needless to say I was able to go back t work as my job as a Sales Representative for Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream back in January. This last Wednesday I blew my back out again, and my doctor finally told me that being 5'11 and 260lbs is basically gonna cripple me. So I've been toying with the idea of joining Body Solutions for some time and now was a good as time as never. I'm hoping to lose 50 lbs within the next 6 months. I'll send you before and after pics at dog and pony's community site if that's ok with them. Basically I'm just letting us overweight people know there is stuff out there for us, I'lltry it and let you know if it works.

RJ, of course you can post before and after pics. The SC sound board has always had a strong sense of "comunity" for us. Family photos are always welcome. Good Luck.
Here in Ohio, there's a class action suit against Body Solutions, which pretty much calls them snake oil salesmen. A group of people are suing BS, saying that it doesn't do what it said.
I myself was considering taking this product until I heard about it. A friend of mine, who is a radio DJ here in Cleveland and a fellow karaoke buff, endorsed it in radio ads (seems like every station in the country has someone who endorses it, huh? Even one of the regulars on the Howard Stern Show plugs it!!), and a guy I work with is taking it. I can ask about if it works, but I'm becoming more and more skeptical about this and similar products. Good luck.
Best,
Mark

Of course it doesn't work when you keep stuffing your face with cake, & pie, and other fattening, no good foods (and not exercise on top of that!)
There's no substitute for fasting, and exercise. If people would just change their lifestyle in terms of their eating habits (what they eat), exercise (actually get off their fat butts and do some), and be consistant about it, they would have no problem losing weight.
Where is it written the you have to eat 3 times a day? Fasting is good for you. It helps to "clean" you out! Just drink lots of healthy fluids, and take a muti-vitimen about every other day, you you'll do fine. It's help shrink your stomach, so when you do eat you get full quicker. Eat lots of vegetables (salads are good!)

Although I hesitantly post this with Rockerz slamming everyone I started the body for life program Jan 7, as of this morning I've lost 31 lbs (yup, that's 6 weeks folks) I recommend this program for anyone wanting to make a change in their life. There is no magic pill that safely makes you lose weight. Eat healthy, eat smaller meals, get up and start moving! This is a 12 week program, anyone old & young, outta shape and whatnot can do. It's a 6 day 12 week program, you get one day a week with no diets. no workouts needed, I tell you, it works!!! It's not just a diet either, as Rockerz points out, EXERCISE! This program is detailed in what exercise to do, and although fasting may be cleansing, you need nutrients, proteins, carbs to build muscle.

I just dove right into it, I've never been one much for doctors. There is a great book for the program as well as a website, I'm sure your doctor is aware of the program and can comment on it if you were to ask him/her.
Good luck!!

All this hoo-ha reminds me of the days when I used to get a regular telling off for misbehaving on the forum. I don't think I was ever this controversial though.

Rich let s know if you continue to lose te weight and keep it off which IMO is the most important part. A of right now I can't exercise because of my herniated disc, which in turn is probably gonna leave me no choice bt to take a leave of absence from wor til I get better. If body solutions works you can check out the before and after photos in Dog & POny's site http://www.communityzero.com/karaoke/index.cfmPosts: 1795 | From: Fall River, Ma | Registered: Feb 2001

Okay it's been over a month and I dropped around 10lbs. My face has drained out and my chest and belly have flattened out. Mind I haven't been able to do any exercising because of my back and I was also laid up for a week and a half on my back because of the pain. I haven't changed my eating lifestyle except no more going out to breakfest after the show. The hardest part so far has been just drinking water 3 hours before bed time, right in the middle of a show if I'm out, but other than that it's going well. I'll post updated pics after the 3rd month.

Wow it's almost been a month again. Lots of changes happening up to about 20 lbs of weight loss now and I dropped a shirt size. Gone from a XXL to a XL. Started exercising last week and I'm about a month and a half away from going back to work I hope. Posts: 1795 | From: Fall River, Ma | Registered: Feb 2001
