I'm just curious. On average how many spotlight discs does SC have to sell to break even?
From what I've read here, the reason new releases have slowed down is due to a lack of copyright consent and the financial bushwhack of piracy? How many discs would SC have to pre-sell to offset the financial risk of releasing a new disc?
I know the copyright royalties and the costs of production vary, so what I'm really asking is, "Would SC speed up new releases if they could pre-sell enough discs to offset most--not necessarily all--of the disc's production costs?"
I appologize in advance if I have made any wrong assumptions. I'm not trying to rile BC/SC.Posts: 40 | From: VA | Registered: Jan 2007
