I noticed that a few songs on the KHOF Headbangers version are not on the Headbangers Discs: i.e., Eighteen by Alice Cooper and Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard. Does this mean they might show up on future HB discs?
I know that the songs are available on other discs, I have lost on laser which has Once Bitten and Jump from the VH Star, but I did not get the Cooper star nor the DL star due to the fact that I already had the rest or most of the songs on that disc. I know I'm just nitpicking...but...it would be nice to have these songs not on the HB series but on the KHOF discs on the HB series (even though 4 or 5 not on will be duplicates for me, but maybe not for others)
I own the full series and expect to keep purchasing the HB series as released. I like the KHOF series which allowed me to catch up with my 70's & 80's series and add some country to my collection. I have my eye on the R&B discs and expect to buy it in December. So thanks for the KHOF series

The song choices for all the KHOF paks were made based on musical attributes and an desire to be true to musical history, rather than whether or not the songs conformed to a genre series from past SC releases. I guess this could conceivably cause problems with the individual buying patterns of customers, but that’s too hard for us to second-guess.
Ultimately, you have to go with what you believe is the strongest package you can produce. The KHOF concept is basically Foundation-lite – for the home singer/customer. We looked specifically for as many songs as possible from the big KJ-oriented packs like the Foundations and Bricks (although there aren't too many HB songs on those paks).
Not a bad idea to add those songs to future Headbangers discs, but we probably wouldn’t duplicate them unless we discontinued the original Spotlights they released on. If the original discs were discontinued, that scenario would work out great.
Aside from the KHOF pak and Alice Star, “Eighteen” is on 8621. Aside from KHOF, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” is on 8716.
It’s kind of ironic - usually, we’re criticized for too many duplicates. Now it’s not enough, or at least not enough in the right places. Oh well, sometimes you can’t win for losing and mama told me not to come.
Glad you like the concept, though, and hope it works out.

After your note of Aside from the KHOF pak and Alice Star, “Eighteen” is on 8621. Aside from KHOF, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” is on 8716... I looked up what was on those discs and discovered I didn't have as much Whitesnake or Bon Jovi that I thought I had - so I'll go out and pick that one up, and I have been iffy on getting 8621...but now, why not/why wait?

Oops! Did I say KHOF Country, sorry I meant the Hits Pak which is similiar, and I get your point of giving the homebuyer a Foundation/Brick Lite. As for duplicates, I can live with 2 or 3 on a disc if it is a Spot, 1 or 2 on a star - it happens and gives everbody a chance to get that song. A prime example the Metallica Star - I had all but two songs, Stone Cold Crazy and Fade To Black - I wasn't sure how Fade To Black would go over so I opted not to buy that disc. Later SCC was on a 90's disc, and FTB was put on a HB disc shortly thereafter. Sometimes you can please everybody....well I never thought I'd see Everybody Wants Some...but how about Last Child by Aerosmith? (Sorry, had to ramble)
They are strong packs, I look forward to future releases especially if you use songs from discountined discs...I mean $80 for 6 discs with 8 songs on them...how can you go wrong...it's hard to find the 3 or 4 songs on a Spot that you want without getting stuff you have no idea of...so this is a great money saving idea. Just wish I could get some Smashing Pumpkins, i.e., Bullet With Butterly Wings or Tonight, Tonight...They were the only songs I knew about on those Spots, oh well.

Just saw the 60's KHOF - great selection, I have less than half of them, so I'll get this one too.

Speaking of "Mama Told Me Not To Come"... I don't know if I mentioned to you that one of the members of Three Dog Night actually runs a karaoke machine 1 night a week... And I don't mean "a former member"... this is one that has been a member since the 80's....
