All right let's settle this once and for all. Sound Choice is not the Holy Trinity. I'll be the first to admit it. There are indeed a few tracks that could use some improvement. U2's "Mysterious Ways," for instance, is not one of my favorites. But when it comes to gawking over less than perfect songs, the blacklisting stops there. There are others, yes. But I don't feel comfortable knocking them. Especially when I think of all the blood and sweat that was put into the finished products.
You want me to be less negative, Knightshow? Uh hum! Okay, let's see here. Pioneer DVD/Laser is quite good. DK KARAOKE, I suppose, deserves special recognition. Doctor Music and All Hits Monthly are more than worth what you pay for them. You want to turn this into a "let's praise other labels post," fine. I've gotten the ball rolling for you all. But there isn't much left for you people to add, because these are the only companies in my opinion, that can even hold a candle to SC. I admit, though, that I am not the all mighty oracle of Karaoke producers. There is no doubt that I missed some very good businesses, and if anyone wants to enlighten me, so be it.

Funny I thought this was a "Thank You" thread for SC, not a competition bashing thread. Certian people IMHO need to calm down period. I'm not going to single anyone out, but there is too much mudslinging going on period. BC made a thread a while back about just getting along, and we should heed it's advice.

Thanks for Eminem's "Business". Tried it out last Friday night and got a huge response! The whole disc sounds real good. It was also amazing to get the disc on the actual release date (Thursday).

Hey, Sound Choice. I just wanted to get around to saying thanks for invigorating my passion for music and singing. At least once a week or weekend I get so excited about the enjoyment of singing and groovin' along with the music you provide. Whether it be while I'm out and about with all the happy people, or afterwards when I still need/get a kick from hitting my basement "stage", with the headphones, for a one man show. While "in my cups" I invariably think how cool Sound Choice is and how lucky I am that you guys are around. What would my life be without you guys? It would be like best friends moving away. Thanks for the fun Sound Choice.

I might as well take this opportunity to thank you guys for the Jerry Reed Star. Finally got it last Friday. Kudos to your studio vocalist (I listened to those tracks while taking the twins on their daily "go to sleep" drive LOL).
Also, love for the USA is still going strong here as well. I also picked up 8769 last week, mainly for "Courtesy Of The Red White and Blue", and got huge responses for it, all 3 times I did it last weekend.
I was a little surprised that the title screen was just plain blue lettering, instead of something fancy like the other patriotic songs I've seen (Red white and blue lettering on the title screens of Where Were You, and Only In America, as well as stars instead of countdown hashmarks)
For anyone interested, there will be a Fleetwood Mac Spotlight in November. It will have "Hold Me", and won't have "Silver Springs" and "Gypsy". Other than that, it's the two Stars combined.
It may kill some initial sales on this Star, but this way we have products for both KJ and home consumers customers, and different products for different needs.

I gotta second the thank you for PMS II - I know a Madonna freak who will be happy to hear the news - also, you guys put out a Bif Naked song ( I remember someone posting a request for Bif). And finally, the Liz Phair song F*** And Run...I love that song, now, to find the person to sing it....Oh, well. But I do have one question, how did Celine Dion get on this disc over Etta James? (I know showing my age and eclectic (cuz the spelling) taste). Not complaining, just scratching my head and wondering.
Oh yeah, and thanks for Fleetwood Mac's Oh Daddy, I hate to buy a disc for one song, so I held off on the FM Star and Spot.

That was me who requested the Bif Naked. Cool, thank you SC! Only thing is, I don't really know how to sing it because you NEVER hear it on the radio around here. Seriously, I haven't heard it once. Somebody told me that U.S. radio stations won't play it because of some contract thing, and you can only hear it in Canada. Anyone know if that's true?

I now have two SC custom discs. And -- given the quality (and the speed of the service), they won't be the last. And, since this is a "thank you" thread...Thank You, Sound Choice!
I bought the new TWISTED CHRISTMAS HITS cd several weeks ago(have the first volume already) and it really hit me that SC throws it's creative heart, mind, and soul into making every disc no matter what kind of material they are covering. If I've ever taken it for granted in the past and will not do so in the future. Keep up the wonderful job SC!
BTW: Excellet job on HOLY $HIT, IT'S CHRISTMAS, I AM SANTA CLAUSE, and the others on the disc.

I'll second Tony on the Twisted Holiday disc. This one guy who bugs me to not sing country was happy with I Am Santa Claus lol. There's even a couple non-twisted tunes on there that go over good as well.

About 15 minutes after that last post, I heard a song on the radio that just about had me rolling on the floor. So, this should be the first request for volume 3 (even though I'm not in that thread)

Anyone else out there recieve an online newsletter from karaoke whor--I mean--warehouse? The latest one has a link to "KJ Ralph's (as in vomit)" forum. The question he poses is about disc qulity. He makes veiled references to Sound Choice with comments like "Just because the music is the most expensive doesn't make it the best quality, only the most expensive".
I just wanna take this opportunity to inform "KJ Puke" (you know you read this board!) that practically all of us here on the SC forum continue to "overpay" for our karaoke music simply because on too many occasions we've been burned by the other guys, either in music, lyric or graphic quality! No other company, IMHO, is as prolific as SC, none release music in such a vast variety, i.e., Headbangers, Silly Songs, etc...
What's that, you say "Barf"? "...cotton wipes up spills better than silk, for less money. Hand washing gets your car cleaner than an automatic carwash, at a lower cost, a Toyota will get you to work more reliably than a Maserati, and karaoke brands, like Top Tunes, DK and Chartbuster sound just as good, if not better than some more expensive alternatives".... Whadafuh?!?! Top Tunes, DK and Fartbuster as good, if not better? BWWWWWWHAHAHAHAHAAH !!!! I GOTTA CHANGE MY UNDERPANTS!!

I rarely jump a bandwagon, but I gotta second Kara's thoughts here!
I continue to be impressed with SC's quality and their ability to create excellent discs.
I tried "Cry Little Sister" once before, and sang it tonight, and I gotta admit, it's very close to the original (I think it's a LITTLE fast, but not too much!)... I had a fan of the movie practically beg me to sing it, even though she and I don't get along very well. (TALK about a DIVA! LOL! Ewww!!!) But I was happy to sing it for her, and the end result wasn't too bad (still gotta work on that loooooong "CRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!").
Thanks again for listening to us SC, and keep pumping out the terrific tunes.
Matt

Wow Karawolf! LOL! I don't get that newsletter, so thanks for sharing!
Being (just) a singer I own a small collection of discs. As of now I ONLY own Sound Choice brand discs. Not only am I willing to pay a slighty higher price for definite superior quality... I have also been known to purchase an entire Spotlight disc for like ONE song. Don't worry, the other songs get sung as well by either myself or my friends. However, I would be wasting my money if I purchased one of the "other" brands of discs for one song only to find that their rendition is pure crap! And I have heard some real CRAP come out of some of the other brands! I won't take chance. When I purchase a Sound Choice disc I know that I am receiving a superior sounding, quality disc!
Who is this Dork? Sheesh!
PS. Matt rarely jumps on the bandwagon? Bwa hahahahah hahahaha *gasp* hahaha *wiping tears from my eyes* hahahahah! *wink*

I also received an email from karaoke - - - - - - which I don't know if they are the same people but I also received a phone call at home from a karaoke CDG manufacturer about how their CDG's are priced cheaper than thier competitor. I won't say their name but the caller id read Ohio phone call. I will stand by my beloved Sound Choice.
