*sounds of police sirens, screams, and then the crackle of a bullhorn*

"C'mon out, fat man! We know you have some karaoke singers held hostage in there!"

*muffled* "You'll never take me alive copper!"

"Okay boyz, let him have it!!"

Sudden horror overwhelms most normal citizens watching nearby as they pound the area with 5000gigawatt speakers with the sullen sounds of "Love Shack".

A silent scream splits the night...

ROFLMAO! We need to keep this under wraps, folks, or we'll probably be considered a weapon of mass destruction, get listed as a war crime in the Geneva Conventions, and be subject to search and seizure under the new anti-terror laws...

Does anyone else think it would be fun to have some additional animations:-

1) pink vomiting face
2) Pale face which turns purple with anger
3) drunken hiccuping face
4) yawning, falling asleep, snoring face.
5) laughing with tears streaming down face.

Oh........ok.......I can take it if I am the only one thinking like that.

One song that I really wish most female karaoke singers would sing better is 'Black Velvet' by Alannah Miles.

"The Star Spangled Banner" was originally written as a poem. It was not until later that people were singing it using the tune to "To Anacreon in Heaven."

hey! HEY!! HEY! WAIT A MINUTE!!

I sing a GREAT version of "Dragula"!!!

WELL... at least I think so, and so do those that requested it!

Although I CAN see where it can be horribly done! LOL!

I TOTALLY hate the "You Oughta Know" song by Alannis... I always considered that "the Manhater Song!"

Hey, knightshow,

You have yet to hear the male perspective version (or rather, as I call it, the Type O Negative cover version).

Nothing hugely different, just a tweaking of the lyrics, and sung in a deep pitch, like that of Mr Peter Steel of Type O Negative.

A KJ host friend of mine recently told me that he is so accustomed to hearing my rendition of that tune, that when some girls did it (the original way), he said it sounded all wrong! LOL
Way to leave a lasting impression, eh?

marcolake, I know a guy here in the portland area that can sing every band you mentioned, and just about any other "hair band" that you can throw his way VERY WELL! Of course he is also a lead singer in a band, LOL! He goes to karaoke occasionally to practice his craft. However, in general, I agree that these songs sound better when a woman sings them, only because the are so high
