Have you guys been wearing out the tracks on the TWISTED CHRISTMAS (Spotlight #8557) yet?
I'm wondering what tracks have been going over well. So far, YOU'RE A MEAN ONE MR GRINCH seems to be the most popular but probably just because of the movie. I tried I WANNA HIPPO FOR CHRISTMAS last night and for some reason it seems the song would go over better if a cute child was singing it, not a 34 year old drunk man! ROFLMAO! :^)

I just bought the disc a week ago (no Grateful, wife doesn't know about it either LOL), and did "Walking Around In Womens Underwear" on Saturday. Got a huge response. I downloaded a bunch of the others from Napster, and plan to try Chistmas at Ground Zero, as well as the Ray Stevens song (name escapes me at the moment). I had someone else mention they would try Mr Grinch this week also.
Sound Choice really needs to come up with a sequel to this disc for next Christmas.

Well, last night I did Mr Grinch. Got a great response. Christmas at Ground Zero went over like a lead balloon. Go figure. Maybe these people aren't ready for me to buy the Weird Al disc yet LOL.

I've had various repsonses with XMAS AT G-0 myself as well. One night I sang it at a bar and got a great response from the crowd and the "then" owner of the bar ran up to me and was freaking out because he really wanted to sing that song as well. LOL
I've gotten a few blank stares and silence as well so it just depends on the crowd.
BTW: Is that anything like a LED ZEPPLIN??
Commercial for Led Zepplin box set: "Led Zepplin is BACK!!!!!!!!!" Me: "Uh..did they ever leave?"

Don't know how far from Chicago that is, but my wife lived there for 6 years when she was a kid, and really wants to go back to visit. Every year, we talk about it, and every year we end back in Nova Scotia. I guess my draw of family is stronger than her draw of childhood friends LOL

I was sure hoping that there would be a Vol 2 or at least a Twisted Christmas SS disc. There are still plenty of twisted christmas songs out there that need to be covered!

Am I the only one who ever sings Adam's Chanukah song? Aside from Wierd Al stuff I detest and despise christmas music, and I figger the other big holday at that time of year should be represented (and I'm not even Jewish)

I would sing the Hanukah song, but few KJ's I know have it. I just got the Twisted Christmas CD, and I think Christmas will start a little early this year at the shows I go to, but I will certainly do "I'm a Lonely Jew".

Speaking of twisted Christmas regular CDs. My Christmas present to my local KJ this year is MR. MOJO'S CHRISTMAS by The Wise Men It is a hilarious take off of the Doors doing a medley of their songs with Christmas type lyrics. "--Rudolph---I WANT TO AAAAAAHHHHH COME ON BABY!! Was it widely played? I don't know. Anyway it is really funny. WMGK played it a lot last year here in Philly. You have to order direct from the Wise Men. $7.99 a disc. If they are still selling them this year, I promise KJs will love to play this at your shows. Email me and I will send you the Wise Men address.

Also just released on CD...John Valby's "Herniated Jingle Balls"....without a doubt the most offensive songs in a Christmas motif to ever have been performed....Red Peters sounds like Pat Boone in comparison....it's just RUDE!
"A month or two ago, you asked me for a date. You said for Christmas Eve, by then you'd lose some weight! I think I understand the tinsel in your hair, but why do you have mistletoe inside your underwear? OH!
Jingle Balls, Jingle Balls, jingle to and fro- look at all the little puppies making yellow snow- OH! Jingle balls, jingle balls, jingle 1-2-3.. why don't you come over here and jingle balls with me!
....and that's the cleanest song on the album..
