I bought a disk from Sound Choice. It is the first disk that I have bought in quite some time from Sound Choice - as I started with both Foundations and all the Bricks. I have been subscribing to Chartbusters monthly hits, so there really hasn't been a need to purchase SC disks (I like their quality, but they are way behind the power curve when it comes to new music).
Anyway, I can use the disk in the player, works fine. I converted the files to mcg-mp3 format, and it works in my computer player just fine. Thing is, I cannot get this one disk, no matter what I try, to load into the CAVS player.
I was just wondering if SC maybe did something so that their disks could not be used in the CAVS player anymore...
Anyone else having this problem?

I've had no problem converting or transferring any disc, it has to be something wrong in your conversion procedure

Thanks B-Flat. Have you converted any disks recently though? I just got this disk last week. Other Sound Choice disks that I have ordered prior (as well as my new Chartbuster Hot Hits) convert with no problem. This newest disk just will not convert, I have tried EVERYTHING.
And like I said, the resulting files work with every other program BUT Cavs

I just tried 3 separate discs of newer releases and everything is fine. Which disc are you having trouble with?
Don't forget that cavs encoder mcg is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to track naming. There is a character limit, illegal character rules and spacing rules....thats one of the things they dont tell you. Failure to these rules results in a bad encode and gives the exact problem you are having.

9022 was one of the discs I ripped and it was fine. There were issues with illegally downloaded tracks not working but that isn't your problem. Try ripping with audiograbber. Try ripping with a different drive like plextor. Try the newest encoder mcg. I rip with audiograbber, plex px-800-a, and encode with encoder mcg 1.018. These all work flawlessly for me. If soundchoice did put something in their discs, it is not affecting me.
