I was laid off from my day job of 15 years for lack of work. They claim it's only temporary, but I'm trying to prepare for the worst. So here's where I can use your help. When I retired back in Dec of '07, Girlfriend by Avril was one of the big hits at the time. So what have I missed in a year and a half? If you had to recommend a song I should definetly pick up before I book shows what would it be? Country, pop or rock, I'm lookin for ideas...Thanks in advance!!!

Definitely get Careless Whisper - Seether! This song is almost OVERsung at my shows now & i've only had it about 3 weeks. It's done nightly at this time.

Just start working again and if people ask for a song ... just tell them you don't have it yet and go out and get it. Tell them you'll have it in (timeframe) so they know.
Like so many other tasks... take action. Just do it and get going. The rest will fix itself in time.
