on new years eve i went to do karaoke at small venue and this person asked to sing off the disc i had i let him sing off of it and he left it with the dj to sing a second song after he sang i saw him sit down with no disc in his hand after some time passed the dj wouldnt let him sing again i went to get it from the dj he didnt have it he claimed it mightve been mixed in with his discs and 3 weeks went by he kept claiming he didnt have it and the singer claimed he never took it there were a smaller crowd than usual so im not sure who took it im out a 50 dollar disc the dj refuses to accept accountability nor the singer who sang from my disc

I wouldn't be surprised if it magically turns up shortly. After one or the other copies it. And My suspicion is on.......

Fifty bucks for a karaoke disc? Yow ! Where did you buy it? Neiman Marcus?
Anyway, sile a small claims suit in your local court and name the DJ, his company and the venue as respondents. Ask the court for compensation for the loss of the disc and remuneration for legal fees. That will get their attention.

I KJ and it isn't hard to misplace a disc when it is really happenin'. There really is no excuse to lose a disc completely, but you should take this as a lesson to only loan a disc to a good friend and only at a show where you know the KJ better. I would think it will turn up if you keep hounding him a little more.
