Well, I can't sing a serious Christmas song, since there's always many others singing them. So, I pull out my various SC Twisted Christmas, or some from other brands. I Am Santa Claus was a big hit last year. Also, Redneck 12 Days Of Christmas, and Grandpa Got Run Over By A John Deere by Cledus T Judd.

Step Into Christmas by Elton John. I just got Twisted Christmas Vol 2 so I am looking forward to The Night Santa Went Crazy and I Am Santa Claus. It's kinda cool when people are the spirit and sing xmas tunes, but not before Thanksgiving. HeHeHe

I sing Xmas songs (and also a certain Chanukah song available from someone other than SC!) every year during the holidays. I try to vary the ones I do, just like I do with regular songs. Here are some that I have done over the years:
"Little Saint Nick"--Beach Boys "Merry Christmas Baby"--both the Chuck Berry and Elvis versions "Run Rudolph Run"--Chuck Berry "Feliz Navidad"--Jose Feliciano "Happy Christmas (War is Over)"--John Lennon "Blue Christmas"--Elvis Presley "If Every Day Were Like Christmas"--Elvis "Here Comes Santa Claus"--Elvis "Winter Wonderland"--Elvis "Santa Claus is Back in Town"--Elvis "The 12 Gifts of Christmas"--Allan Sherman "Walkin' 'Round in Women's Underwear"--Bob Rivers Comedy Corps "Santa Claus is Watching You"--Ray Stevens "Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy"--Buck Owens or Garth Brooks; I've done both "12 Days of Redneck Christmas"--Jeff Foxworthy "White Christmas"--Bing Crosby "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"--Brenda Lee "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"--Gene Autry "Step Into Christmas"--Elton John "Mistletoe and Wine"--Cliff Richard "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town"--Bruce Springsteen "Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas"--Burl Ives "Pretty Paper"--Roy Orbison and there are probably more that I have done. I'm getting the Twisted Christmas 2 disc within the next couple of days so I have some new stuff to play around with!
Best,
Mark

I'm still looking for a chorus that sings "Handel's Messiah" on the west side of Cleveland.
I was in a chorus several years ago on the east side and really enjoyed singing "The Messiah". The first year I was in the audience, the second and third I was in the chorus, and the forth, I sang a recitative. If you ever get a chance to hear this, I recommend it.

Wow. I never sang it in Latin. That had to be very difficult. Did you sing any of the solos? I love "Every Valley Shall Be Exhalted". It's a tenor part.

Being a huge fan of Christmas, now 'tis the season when I break out and do holiday songs on my turn in rotation...I get lots of requests for Buffett's "Ho Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rhum" (thank you, SoundChoice), and my showstopper is doing "The Man With The Bag" with the second half done in the style of David Lee Roth* (I mean, who ELSE could remake that song?)
*yes, yes, I know he's Jewish..don't need to flog that horse...
