This friday's show is about people who obsess on karaoke also they are very bad singers according to the video blurb. Everybody look to see if you recognize anyone. (MInd you, since 75% of jenny & jerry's guests come from florida, myself, bob black and others down here will probably have more recognition to these people.)

I think I heard about this when they were planning to tape it. Suggest taking a pass on it. There's got to be better ways to lose an hour of one's life.

Especially when there is the strongest of possibilities that the show's production staff will portray karaoke in such fashion as to frame it in a negative light!
The "controversy delivers an audience" formula should apply in full-force with regard to this topic.

Ah, Jenny Jones, one of our favourite hometown exports. I thought she was giving up that silly talk show to go back into comedy. She actually was a good comic (for a woman) back in the 80's when I used to see her all the time.

One of Jenny Jone's producers actually solicted guests on another karaoke forum. He was shot down pretty hard! Anyone who has ever seen her show knows that the show will depict karaoke in a negative light,and didn't want anything to do with it!
It was suggested that the producer actually attend a few karaoke shows, to see what it's really like, before producing the show. For some reason, he never responded to the suggestion!

Most likely, he didn't TAKE the suggestion...the producers who come up with these brilliant show topics usually do so because they have a preconceived notion of karaoke and a) will only use material/participants which adhere to their beliefs (which generally depicts karaoke as bad singing), and b) wouldn't be caught dead at a karaoke show because of said beliefs.
We've got "karaoke" programmed in our TiVo as a keyword, so I'll probably end up capturing it....will let you know.

Said producers may not really be interested in anything that approaches the truth anyway. They appear to only be interested in promoting controversy, combativeness, and upheaval....the life's blood of shows in the Jenny Jones category.
