With all the new equipment available for karaoke now, we have changed out an old workhorse - A Denon DN-2200F & DN-820 Mic Mixer. When we first started out, a lot of people loved this system and I used to read about people out there that had the Dual CD Player (2200F) but not the Mic Mixer (820) and were frantically looking for one.
Do you think there are still people out there looking for this system, and if so, what do you think it might be worth? I am thinking about putting it up on eBay, or I have a friend that would like to purchase it. I want to get my money's worth out of it. I just don't know what kind of price tag to put on it. If it's considered ancient, I might not get much out of it, but if it's still considered a "great find" I'd like to capitalize on that.
It works, I have the original shipping boxes and manuals. What do you think?

Best bet would be to watch EBay for awhile and see what comes up and the winning bids. You may also want to think about putting up on consignment at a music store.

You both found the dual CD player - yes, that's the player, but not the mixer. The mixer integrates with the CD player to provide decoding for karaoke, has 3 microphone inputs and key changer.
Hmmmm....about $250 for the mixer and CD player on eBay right now. But...it's a different mixer. Well, $200 - $300 might be as much as I can expect.
Any other opinions are very welcome!

That depends on whether you've had to have the small chips inside replaced...
Ever have any problems with a tray going crazy? As in the tray closes, either won't read a disc, or reopens "magically" or closes "magically?"
I have one now that does that... the right tray will work fine for the first 45 minutes... then it goes crazy. I've had it in for repair and still the same problem.

Ah....I think we may have had it in for repair once. If so, we sent it back to Denon. Don't believe we've had a lick of trouble with it since. Would you maybe be interested in it?

I had to ask my husband why we sent the system in for repair, because I simply didn't remember. Because I want you to know exactly what happened .... He had the unit opened and was making some minor cleaning, etc. and dropped a circuit board and shorted it out. We sent it back to Denon and the completely rebuilt it to the tune of about $400.
We've never had a problem with it other than that. Never had a disk skip, never had a drawer magically open or close, so I would have to say that there has never been a chip problem of any sort.
Would you be interested in both the CD player and mic mixer?

I bought one off of ebay last year...didn't have the mixer...dropped a couple bills on it, only to discover that it wouldn't read CDG w/o the mixer...thought I'd just use it to play filler & bumper UNTIL the damned thing started smoking!! Not cigs or weed, either!

Wow! Major Bummer K-Wolf! Wonder what the smoke was all about.
We must've gotten a Wednesday model because it has always worked extremely well.
The host that used it all the time would like to buy it from me, since he is no longer working for me, except occasionally, he thought it would be fun to have for home use. He has visions of setting up some kind of recording studio in his basement, but I don't think he can afford the equipment or licensing fees.
I just thought I might find someone who already had one, that might want a backup or someone like K-wolf that was looking for the mixer because they had a CD player. But, I'm still unsure of what it might be worth.
