I know it doesn't hurt to have one, but have you ever directly booked a show as a result of someone viewing your Web Site. Ok, I'm not talking about an ancillary viewing after the fact that someone contacted you, but someone happenchance a hit then booked you?

I just 2 weeks ago hosted an employee party for the regional office of Toyota's WORLD OMNI FINACE operation in Mobile after they found my web site on the net. I have also picked up a Christmas booking as a direct result of that booking.
I get customers into my clubs on a regular basis from my site and people can keep current on my appearance when they are in from out of town or just keep up locally.
I make sure to keep all links current, all information up to date regularly - the key to a good web site is up date it.
Best of all the place I and many other KJ's have their web page at karaoke.dj.net where the page is yours free as a KJ, and easy to set up or maintain. So if you don't have one get it free and list it in the KJ pages right here at Sound Choice and other places.

About two weeks ago I had a customer come up to me and mention that he saw my site through a search engine and decided to stop by on his way to Florida (he was from Michigan and I'm in Birmingham, AL), so, all it takes is one person, looking for a place to sing on route to somewhere... and if you think of how many people may have seen the site and stopped by without even mentioning it to you... who knows the effect of having a website, plus it give info to people that you are dealing with on a regular basis who may never bother to ask you in person "Do you do bachelor parties?" or "What night of the week are you in this location or that?"
Just that one person from several states away looking for a Karaoke bar on his planned stop-for-the-night-in-Birmingham gave me a new customer who may be back or may tell a friend travelling this way... and it snowballs from there.
