(In fact, I got a guilty confession to make: the Buffett song I like best to do is "Another Saturday Night" on the first batch of SC8147...)

That's my favourite off that disc as well. I even had people up dancing to it last Saturday.

Larri-
Do y'all do "the chant" when that song comes on?? It helps make it pass MUCH quicker!

"...searchin' for my lost shaker of salt"
("Where's the salt?!? Where's the G*D D*MN SALT?!?")

also, when this song comes up, I tend to say right before it, "All Parrotheads please rise for the National Anthem"...little fun things to keep me from getting blase' about the song...

Sometimes the Margaritta "vile" chant is done, other times not - I prefer strongly when it is not (makes the time go by even that much worse). I wish the chant for "Family Tradition" was done more, but the song does not seam to be getting much play lately.

Giltibo and DanJ, your most welcome to come and sing "Another Saturday Night" It's my favorite on the disc and no one wants to sing it. Even my devoted Buffet fan that sings just about everything else (and quit Margarittaville when he found I had other Buffet songs), says he doesn't know it.

Here's a list from SW Michigan.

This may be Seger country but please no more "Turn The Page". This song has smoked it's last cigarette.

"Paradise By The Dashboard Lights" has not been close to paradise for a long time. I can't take it any longer Lord it sucks.

"The Rose" is dead. Someone throw it out already.

Why can't "My Heart Will Go On" finally sink?

"Honey I'm Home" should leave.

"Goodbye Earl" na na na na na na not again.

Don't "Hit Me Baby One More Time" or I'm gonna hit back. I swear I will.

"I Hate Myself For Loving You" and still having this song in my book.

"Beth" is fat, ugly and old.

I hope "Sold" is repo'ed...soon.

"Whatever" did I do to deserve this song every night.

"Nobody" wants to hear this song again. Especially me.

There's my current list.

Ahhh, that feels much better.

One place I used to go to had a listing in the beginning of the book of "most popular" (translation: oversung) songs. It stated clearly that if you selected one of those particular songs your chances of getting up to sing were less likely than if you picked one of the other 10,000 songs. Perhaps this would work for those songs that everyone is tired of.

Other than something like that, I guess we just have to grin and bear it.
