I'll Start. BC how are sales going on Silly Sing-Along Songs Vol. 2? If good when can we expect Volume 3?

What he asked BC. Also, what are the chances of getting Bobby Bare's THE JOGGER and NUMBERS on that CD if you do it?

Sales questions are not likely to get answered most of the time - unless they are the reason why we wouldn't do a disc/song/idea.

We had committed ourselves to making 2 Silly Songs discs before we started this one. The next one will be out in not too long - before the NFL season starts.

Just like the disc just released, ALL the songs will be compiled from the request threads.

OK how about Mama? Where's Mama? And if we do run into her anytime soon, will she be in the company of Rodney Carrington? How about it BC, is Mama on the horizon?

Hey BC if you have a problem finding any of the songs mentioned on the Silly Sind-Along Songs Vol. 3 post let me know. I download the MP3s from Napster as they're suggested and I've got most of them.

Well, thanks for the offer, Isaiah. We have access to the same technology, too.

One thing we've discovered - unfortunately, through hard experience - is that the versions online don't always match up with the "original" recordings by the artist. So, it takes a little more work to confirm that sometimes.

Nonetheless, the next volume of Silly Songs to be released is already done, and we are proceeding with a disc of strictly, "dirty" songs.

So, please keep those suggestions coming. Thanks.

(No, there is no info available on which songs or when it will be released.)

When you say, "already done" BC do you mean that the song titles have already been selected or the songs have already been recorded and are in "the can"?

This is going to sound like a dumb question but does SC stockpile completed songs for release on later discs or do you folks just do them on the "fly" when the disc series demands them? (ie HITS OF THE 90s/HITS OF THE 80s/etc)

Hey B/C, can you at least give us the old "I can neither confirm nor deny" routine on the ELO CD? Of course, if it's "NO" just say no.

Gee.... that would explain a few things in the past 30 years.

Well, we do have 7 ELO songs already done, so that would mean 1 more makes soup for a Star.

But you've got to be smart about how much information is released and when, so.... we'll just have to wait and see.

I was just hoping to have some input on forthcoming Tom Petty possibilities. Any word on these??? My choices are:

Change of Heart
Even The Losers
A Woman In Love (It's NOt me)
Jammin' Me
I Won't Back Down
Learning to Fly
Into the Great Wide Open
Don't Come Around Here No More

***Since you gave us advance notices on INXS, I was hoping perhaps you could reveal a little bit on Tom.

Hey BC, I was just wondering what's the word with all the 3-of-a-kind discs. I haven't seen any in a while and I was wondering if you guys forgot bout them. I'm really intrested in the Motley Crue/Poison/Alice Cooper disc.

There are more 3 Of A Kind discs scheuduled for this year. Upcoming are:

Def Leppard / Bon Jovi / Whitesnake
Todd Rundgren / Badfinger / Eric Carmen
Harry Chapin / Gordon Lightfoot / Jim Croce
Diamond Rio / Shenandoah / Restless Heart
Sara Evans / Kinleys / Jessica Andrews

We have an Alice Star (compiled from our PREVIOUSLY RECORDED tracks), so we might put the Crüe and Poison together with some other glam rock based band. We'll see.

Also, we're starting a new series, Battle of the Bands, which features two artists on the same disc. Kicking it off is Queensryche vs. Rush, which will be followed during the rest of the year by:

AC/DC vs. KISS
Van Halen vs. Aerosmith
Queen vs. Styx
Journey vs. Foreigner

These last 4 discs have mostly new songs on them (new for SC). Sorry... I will not be responding anywhere about what songs are included.

For those about to Rock, we salute you!

For those about to Country, go Tim McGraw!

PS - Sorry, Harry, no Tom Petty Star. If you want to compile his tracks, try the custom disc route.

Queen vs Styx? Hmmm... weird match up on that one. I always thought that sound wise REO Speedwagon was similar to Styx. However, with all of the crap Queen discs out there I wouldn't care if you matched up Queen with Englebert Humperdink, I'd still buy it.

Lots of marvelous material there, BC; my wallet hates you.

BC,

Then no 3-of-a-kind for Queensryche, Rush, and a third group - as indicated earlier - therefore meaning more *new* material from both groups? Great call - I'd much rather see this than have more repeats from a third band. (For the future... how about an Iron Maiden vs. Judas Priest)?

Here are some ideas for Battle of the Bands discs... (whether previously recorded by SC or not)

Van Halen

Ice Cream Man
Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
Everybody Wants Some
Unchained
Dance the Night Away
Beautiful Girls
So This is Love?
And the Cradle Will Rock
Jump
Panama
Hot for Teacher
Mean Street
Dreams
Love Walks In
When It's Love
Why Can't This Be Love?
Right Now
Can't Stop Loving You

Styx

Queen of Spades
Lights
Lady
Borrowed Time
Superstars
Snowblind
Mademoiselle (Great song; can't ever remember seeing it on a karaoke CDG)
Man in the Wilderness
Fooling Yourself (Angry Young Man)
Sing for the Day
The Best of Times
Too Much Time on My Hands
Rockin' the Paradise

Journey

Separate Ways
Open Arms
Lights
Still They Ride
Stone in Love
Just the Same Way
Only the Young
Faithfully (but correct the lyrics, please!)
Winds of March
Do You Recall?
Too Late

Foreigner

Starrider
Long, Long Way from Home
Girl on the Moon
Blue Morning, Blue Day
Head Games
Until the End of Time
That Was Yesterday
Juke Box Hero
Nightlife
Feels Like the First Time
Break it Up
Dirty White Boy

5. Hang 'Em High
6. Fools

For the Styx disc I'd second:
Foolin Yourself
and
Snowblind

I'd also love to see:
Double Life (man that song rocked!)

Here's some Queen selections:
Keep Yourself Alive
Don't Stop Me Now
Let me Entertain You
Head Long
and my absolute favorite Queen song:
These are the Days of Our Lives (I actually used that as the parent dance at my wedding. It was very cool.)

Thanks for all the great new stuff coming our way! :-)

For Styx, I would like to see

"Brave New World"
"Everything Is Cool"
"Half-Penny, Two-Penny"
"Rockin' the Paradise"

I would have preferred to see Journey vs Jefferson Starship.

Personally I'd pair Crue w/ Skid Row & Great White w/ these songs:

Primal Scream -Motley Crue
Kickstart Your Heart -Motely Crue
Anarchy in the U.K - Motley Crue
Wildside - Motley Crue
Same Ol' Situation-Motley Crue

Slave to the Grind - Skid Row
Monkey Business - Skid Row
Quicksand Jesus - Skid Row
Pyscho Love - Skid Row
Youth Gone Wild- Skid Row

Rollin' Stoned - Great White
House of Broken Love - Great White
Desert Moon - Great White
Call it Rock and Roll- Great White
Save all Your Love - Great White

It is a hair band overload

And yet another vote for ELO! ROCKARIA is a great song. I Like JULIE DON'T LIVE HERE myself, but if I had to choose one of their hits, ROCKARIA or DO YA would be my choices.
