Hey y'all...many of our regular patrons travel the Americas extensively. Well, I'm not a KJ (although I will be hosting a karaoke party in my basement in a few weeks). But, my regular hangout in London Canada is Jimmy's Corner Fri, Sat, Sun 9pm-2am Sat afternoon 1-5 The bar has a permanent rig with 120 Laserdiscs and about 65 CDGs. When all of us regulars that own discs are there, there's probably an additional 350 CDGs in the crowd to sing from. IP: Logged |

Where I live (Austin, Texas) I noticed that people were going around saying that someone should list all the Karaoke shows in our area on the internet, so I bought a PC, learned how to do websites (kinda) and listed the shows in our area. I call it a "regional Karaoke information site". We have 45+ venues offering Karaoke in a city of about 400,000. The competition for shows is tuff. (some KJs even try to steal other KJ's shows) We have fun with it though. I also run an e-mail list of about 230 people, that is always growing. I send out at least one message a week updating everyone on Karaoke happenings. I support the site by having sponsors (KJs) that pay $20 per month to get all their info on my site by getting their own "sponsorpage", which also includes a link to their website (if they have one) I've been hired by several KJs to do sites for them, so I guess that's my specialty now. Has anyone considered doing this for their area where they live? If someone would cover cities all over the US, we could all join together & have a "master site" that lists all the regional sites, making it easy for folks to find out where to sing all over the US from people who live in those areas, and know what's going on. Ya'll check out my site, and see whatcha think. We really should get organized like this in large numbers. One of the KJs of the company gave me the nick, "DJ Scratch&Sniff" and somehow it got morphed into that incarnation. My personal favorite (and the one I prefer) is "DJ-Scratch-My-A$$-A-Lot" ROFLMAO! In fact, I give myself credit in this MP3 ID tag that I made and use in my shows. Gonna send it to ya so you can get a feeling what it's like being at one of my gigs! BTW: We just picked up a few more shows so now we offically have 17. I'm now working 5 days a week...my transformation into a "karaoke lost soul" is complete! Tony, is this:  what you were looking for? I think the problem is the space between the word "Logo" and "Small" for the gif image. In order for browsers to be able to read an image with a broken name you need to add "%20" in place of the space to make it work. Proper web design does not include images with a break in the name. Or perhaps this is the webmaster's intentianal attempt to make it hard to view images off their webspace remotely? Dunno.
