I,ve owned the CSN one for years. My intention was to shed some light w/o creating heat. It gets blurry over time (evidenced by Sound Choice labeling and these emails)between CSN and CSN&Y and why not- with time passing and reunions and all. Bottom line-Thanks again Sound Choice. Let's all wish for more of some of those guys or some more of all those guys. like; To the Last Whale-CSN Carry On -CSN&Y Peace. IP: Logged |

SC 8894 - Concrete Blonde's God Is A Bullet (oh, now I don't have a song to wish for), Depeche Mode's Enjoy The Silence, and Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend on one disc. Boy when you put out a song I really want, you throw at least two more that I really wanted also. And not to forget another song that has been requested again and again, Smoke Two Joints IP: Logged |

8894 80’S & 90’S - VOL. 1 ENJOY THE SILENCE - DEPECHE MODE GOD IS A BULLET - CONCRETE BLONDE FALL ON ME - R.E.M. HOLIDAY - MADONNA GLYCERINE - BUSH THE PROMISE - WHEN IN ROME INTERGALACTIC - BEASTIE BOYS ROCK ME AMADEUS (GERMAN VERSION) - FALCO SMOKE TWO JOINTS - THE TOYES ALL NIGHT LONG - LIONEL RICHIE GIRLFRIEND - MATTHEW SWEET MANIAC - MICHAEL SEMBELLO SITUATION - YAZ LOVE SONG - THE CURE WHILE YOU SEE A CHANCE - STEVE WINWOOD - - - - - BONUS TRACK- - - - - ROCK ME AMADEUS (ENGLISH VERSION) - FALCO OH, this is a bit different than I was lead to believe... no worries, I assume that the John Couger Mellencamp song you hinted at BC will be on the next 80s & 90s disc? By the way, I LOVE the dual version of "Rock Me Amadeus"!! Thanks for that! [This message has been edited by knightshow (edited November 07, 2004).] IP: Logged |

I think you've misunderstood a bit, Matt. "I Need A Lover" will be on the disc I described in the post you're 'hinting' at - the next 70's & 80's disc. This disc - 8894 - Hits of the 80's & 90's, Vol. 1 - is just as I represented it to be. Here's my original post you're talking about. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough. //////////////////// Both "Heaven Knows" and "Ain't Nobody" will be on the next 70's & 80's disc - 8886 in our January or February release. There will be both (single) female vocal and duet versions of "Heaven Knows". Some other songs on that disc include: Who Do You Love - George Thorogood Another new disc we're trying to get out in December (but might not make it until January) is Hits of the 80's & 90's, Vol. 1 - 8894. Some of the songs on that disc include: Fall On Me - R.E.M. The Promise - When In Rome \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Personally, I couldn't keep track. So we took the version that was the biggest hit all around the world (orig German version), and did the lyrics in both German and English. So, if it isn't exactly what you, personally, remember, please understand that there were many versions that were played in different countries, and even multiple versions that were played here in the States. Hope it works for people. IP: Logged |

Just when I thought you guys put out all great songs you could for awhile, you do this - I Need A Lover (the Radio version) - John Cougar Mellencamp, Hair Of The Dog - Nazareth, (and two I asked for repeatedly) Sunday Papers - Joe Jackson and Jersey Girl - Springsteen. Then to top it off - Who Do You Love - George Thorogood, Poor Poor Pitiful Me (written by Warren Zevon) - Linda Ronstadt and Little Too Late - Pat Benatar. So I just got to ask any chance for Kings And Queens by Aerosmith. This song was on the first Greatest Hits album, and one of my favs. IP: Logged |

yer right, I misunderstood. I was thinking that they were all going to be on the same disc... and I was curious cause "I Need A Lover" was done in the seventies! LOL! Thanks for clearin' that up, sir! IP: Logged |

I Need A Lover, Don't Cry and Who Do You Love? Sweet! That's a must buy disc. Now if I could just get Stealin by Uriah Heep, I think all my requests will be filled. EDIT: Ok, I forgot one final request, Andy Taylor, and that would fill all my requests. -Eric [This message has been edited by DJFang (edited November 08, 2004).] IP: Logged |

Yeah, it was released twice in 1979 - once by John, and then the Pat Benatar cover from In The Heat Of The Night lp in Oct - Dec. Couldn't say if they charted, but both were FM favorites. Although, I bet many people probably recall the Benatar version first. And this probably holds true with her cover of the Alan Parsons Project Don't Let It Show, or her cover of Kate Bush's Wurther Heights from her next lp Crimes Of Passion. She did do some interesting cover tunes. [This message has been edited by DavidE (edited November 12, 2004).] IP: Logged |

Just when I thought the last very great disc would be the 80's & 90's and possible the 70's disc, I go look at the rest of the releases for December... a lot of great songs that were requested over and over. A special thanks for the Gavin DeGraw song. And how did you get the Don Henly song, I guess he didn't write it, or has the no to karaoke been lifted by him. I would go down the list, but just too many songs I'm jonesing for. IP: Logged |

I still don't understand why, if it's already listed not only in the new releases news letter that SC puts out but also in the "available now" section or "future release" section that people feel it necessary to repeat the track listings in a post. Simply thank SC for a nice job etc... and leave it at that. [This message has been edited by flameslayer (edited November 22, 2004).] IP: Logged |

And I don't know why you continue to complain about it. Not everyone gets the newsletters, and it saves a few clicks so people don't have to go over to the new releases page to look it up. It's not like it takes you any more time to scroll past what Matt put in, and what you suggest. IP: Logged |

Yes, we all know how physically taxing it can be to have to click an extra time. IP: Logged |

Just to lay your statement to rest and end this "lively" banter. It takes ONE click once you are on SC's website to view new releases now available or ONE click to view future releases. It took FIVE to get to this thread. And that's all I got to say about that. IP: Logged |

flame, I link directly to the soundboard. I actually have to bring up another window for soundchoice.com... for me, it was far simplier to just copy and paste the entire cd listing... not everybody uses the pc the same way, nor the site. On another thread, someone was asking about vol 72 of 70s an 80s... IP: Logged |

And when somebody is reading this thread and somebody says "What a great disc, I especially like 'song x'", then they have to go click on the home page, then click on the new releases, then scroll down and find the disc being referenced. Whining about another 16 lines of text in that post that you can easily scroll by in the same amount of time, is just frivolous, and certainly takes less time than complaining about it. IP: Logged |

You know it's this nit picky attitude that has been going on in here lately is the reason that I just haven't been around, I'm sure it's a lot of peoples reason. I don't know why, but we're supposed to be a community. If someone copy and pastes something it's just so everyone knows what they are exactly talking about. To get bent out of shape over it just is childish, and immature. I expect this stuff when I'm over at the Star Wars Message Board and not here, and I'm positive that BC and the rest of the SC staff could deal without the drama. I personally love this board, and I am grateful, and thankful for Sound Choice for standing behind it for all the years that they have. I have met people online here that taught me many of different things reguarding the industry that I love, and it is now helping me get another association off the ground. But this petty attitude over little things has just go to go, or so will all the members that just like to talk karaoke. BTW when was the last time you've heard from Dog or Pony..... yeah I wonder why..... IP: Logged |

Just a note of thanks for McCartney's "Coming Up" on SC8886, especially since you wisely chose to cover the rockin' live version instead of the anemic studio track. Several more McCartney classics await the deluxe Sound Choice treatment. None of the following Top 40 Billboard hits has EVER appeared in any karaoke format ANYWHERE: "Venus & Mars Rock Show" (#12) There are also some tasty well-known album tracks: "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five" [This message has been edited by Professor (edited November 24, 2004).] IP: Logged |

B.C., I know this is late, but I just got the Storytellers disc and I wanted to commend you for the job you guys did on "Copperhead Road." Excellent music and lyrics as usual. It's really nice when you guys listen to your buying public and come through with a great production. It was a big hit the first time I sang it. Thanks again, GaryC IP: Logged |

Thanks for 8894 and 8886 Sound Choice, it's great that you read our requests. I will finally have 'Smoke Two Joints' on karaoke. Wow! I'm running out of songs that I constantly ask for. What to do? BTW, I like it when someone posts the disc contents here, it saves me time. I didn't relize at first that 'Girlfriend' was coming out also, until I read knightshow's post. But, one mention on a page is plenty enough. IP: Logged |
